No, keep posting like many others post what journalists are saying.

I was just saying that these rumours had been previously mentioned on this thread, but so many conflicting stories so all we really know is there is no clear draft order & clubs are playing ducks & drakes.
Feels like it could be like this all the way up to selection.
Cal Twomey has been good with his phantom calls of late except 2020 with 3 of top 12
but might be tested this year again.

Mostyn ....mate the other point I forgot to add regarding holding pick #18 is, RICH are apparently very keen on Dodson
That's not relevant, though. Dodson won't go that early, and Richmond also hold 20 and 23.

Absolute premium midfielders are always in the top few picks. Grabbing the two best in a year kickstarts Richmond's rebuild, and gives them the pick of the entire draft to have the best two mids for working with each other.

Pick 18 is an okay pick with a 50/50 chance of giving you a role player. When they also have 20 and 23, it's an easy thing to sacrifice.

abridged version of comments on crows. similar to previous rumours from the last week

The Crows are weighing up making a bold play to secure North Melbourne’s pick 2 in a live trade on draft night, with their eyes believed to be on Victorian midfielder Jagga Smith. Rival clubs think Adelaide is fearful Smith would be secured by Carlton and are keen to add the light-footed and agile onballer to their midfield mix.

Smith captained Vic Metro at the under-18 national championships and averaged 33.8 disposals, 7.9 clearances and 154 ranking points from 12 games for Oakleigh Chargers in the Coates Talent League this year. If a deal with the Kangaroos can’t be done and Smith is taken off the board by the Blues at pick 3, Adelaide is instead expected to look to dynamic South Australian midfielder Sid Draper at pick 4.

The Crows have nominated marking forward Tyler Welsh as a father-son, who they should be able to select with one of their late picks as a rival club bid looks unlikely.

Hamish hell loves himself an undersized KPD, I get scared the guys won't be able to catch him before he gets the microphone

Then we have to put up with the happy clappers and people that aren't invested like us saying " i have full trust in people who actually know what they are doing, they know more about what the team needs bla bla bla"

I feel like this is the plan but it's for Lalor not Smith if Richmond happen to not pick him, otherwise Draper at 4.

Why are we interviewing Lalor twice last week if Smith is our guy?

yeah who really knows. Lots of games being played. Ive always thought Lalor or Draper were our preference at pick 2 as the explosive mid we need but Lalor probably goes at pick one.

Do Tiges offer 6 and 18 for 2? I think they definitely should or will. Do Kangas take the chance that a slide to 6 sees Dees take Tauru before them - real chance and I would be concerned if I was them but perhaps Dees are playing games also

I doubt it. Probably just BF BS.
It would be referring to this Nicks quote from 2023 but the poster obviously hasn’t read the second paragraph.

"It's an interesting one, because I've always been one of those coaches who's said just give me the guys who work hard. Give me 18 of those and we’ll get a flag," Nicks said.

"But I reckon there's got to be a balance with that. Talent wins premierships, and the hard work and role players get you there, so you need to find that balance.

Spoke to the person I get my inside goss from this morning

We have Sid Draper as #1 preference followed by Jagga Smith

So according to Fox, Langford is our man. Pumped if this true
😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
