This could be just the push I needed
Thoughts on VC/GWV Rebel Forward/Ruck Floyd Burmeister?
Very raw and a way to go bodywise but has some pretty decent eye catching attributes that apply to AFL down the track I feel, super athletic with a prodigious leap. Late/rookis perhaps?

For discussion...here is my current top 50 plus a few extras who have draft-able qualities. This hasn't been updated in the last few weeks so is definitely subject to change. Also note, I'm not privvy to pre-season testing numbers like some other posters around these parts. Also, there is no doubt I've missed a few who have draft-able qualities.

No Asher eastham? one of the ctl leading goal kickers who’s stiff not to get a gig at vic country. Kicked goals in each game he’s played this season and most games having multiple. criminal that he’s getting overlooked

Just because Futbolista asked

And ill admit i reckon ive seen far less than people on here and havnt seen any of some, so i just * them

But my main discrepancies

Bo Allen (Top 5)
Jack Whitlock (Top 5)
Iversic (Around 20 and Murphy Reid)
Joel Cochrane (Right inside top 30)
Travaglia (Around 10)
Sam Marshall (Inside top 20)

Just my major differences to the recent poster, who has a very solid list

There are guys like

Matt Whitlock*
Lalor*

Ect that id like to see much more of and theyd be guys who potentially push some of my names down a spot or 2

I think we can get a bit carried away with the kids from the Victoria Coates League. Yes its the strongest kids comp in the country, and these kids receive development and exposure that other state kids might not. It doesnt always eliminate the other states from producing elite talent once they are in a professional environment. If you look at the history of the drafts over the years a lot of biggest draft nuggets have come from outside of Vic.

I really appreciate roo accentric's efforts, but I doubt the draft will be so Vic centric with so few players taken from other states. I understand 60% of the kids drafted usually come Vic, but neither VC or VM are what you call dominant sides this year. The above draft would be 80% Vic kids, I doubt there will be that great of percentage taken. I expect more kids to be taken from other states & territories, particularly that the Northern academies are going so well.

Very raw and a way to go bodywise but has some pretty decent eye catching attributes that apply to AFL down the track I feel, super athletic with a prodigious leap. Late/rookis perhaps?

Phoenix Hargrave seems to have really dropped down the rankings in the last year. Not kicked on this season?
His ceiling has always been a little limited imo

Having another very good year. One of those guys that is putting plenty of runs on the board but maybe doesnt have any outstanding attributes. He finds the footy though and hits the scoreboard

Looks a disciplined type aswell that gives everything and is a solid soldier. Could potentially be a tagger at the next level at the very least

I think she drops away a fair bit after 25-30 but also feel like we say that every year

He doesn’t play major league football. If he played for sale or maffra he would be a lock

Did O'Farrell get injured Sunday, swear I saw him in the first half but couldn't see him in the second half.
Yep, was on crutches with a big ice pack on his ankle. Not sure how bad it is but told second hand that he wasn't very happy and thought he might miss a fair bit of footy. With only one game left in 2 weeks v VC, if his injury is bad I recockon he will sit out the remainder of school footy and load up for Calder in August.

You know, I haven't checked but that might be Wesley Walley Snr's age. From memory that would add up as he played in the early 2000's for Subiaco.
Ahh there's a senior Wes Walley. Was thinking he was being cruel but had to cop it himself 🤣

Wes Walley summary:

  • Can be hard to find in traffic
  • Goes missing on a regular basis
  • Suited to Swans colours.

Those confounded Vics are up to no good once again. :sydney:

C'mon Wes, kick a couple of snags in front of the Vics and those equally pesky uber rich Claremont Oval amphitheatre/apartment owners who occasionally venture out to their balcony to see what the fuss and noise is all about with a glass of white and a salada biscuit with camembert or brie cheese. A hint of the finest truffle with blue vein and 100 year old aged salami might also suffice.

Seems like a nice kid actually judging by this interview I just found. And even if nobody can find him, he appears to have his attitude right.

Hopefully the changes to to academy picks means WCE can pick him up without waiting until pick 40
