Campbell's being absolutely wasted. Can stick a tackle, good kick for goal.

I just don't understand why we don't play him in his draft position, then we sink multiple firsts trying to get a small forward option (also having seen Cleary do well and drafting Hanily).
Yes 100%.
The guy clearly gets off on kicking goals.

He'll be there with Gus and CC i reckon.
Should probably still play him up forward a bit if that's where we'd play him in seniors over the next few years. But at least he has another role, like Hannaford who I'd have preferred, given I didn't really rate small fwd as a great need (to add yet another option).

You pick players like that up in Rookie drafts, trades etc.

Unless you have a absolute peach as a defender still on the board. You rarely go in.

For the record. I think Logan will end up as a defender.
I don't think McDonald has what it takes to be a defender. What's more, you lose a good goal kicker. He kicked 37.24, 61 scoring shots. Take that out of our goal kicking & it is dangerous.

They basically got Whitlock for nothing given Richmond's F2 is a guaranteed to be the first pick in the second round.

When Norf are making us look bad in comparison....

Come off it no they didn't. Lets use the vague finishing tables okay

It was pick 5-6 next year (North will improve) for pick 27 in 2024 +pick 28-34 in 2025 (tied to Richmond)

It's basically a fair trade that's it

Cal had the top 9 or 10 spot on but Hotton blew it up. Tbf GWS usually stuffs up his Phantom anyway but Richmond having soo many picks it was hard to tell what they would do after the first couple

TBF to Cal on the show right before the draft he had said Hotton or Allen could go as high as 10/11 to Richmond so he did have some late mail there

Yep the guy(s) that rated Ling, Stephens, Gould, McDonald and Konstanty really rate Bowman.
What an endorsement!
My theory is that Chris Keane, our new list strategy boss, is related to Mark of the Crows, and is also terrified of Amartey, so we don't dare recruit any competition.

With my dislike of some so called journo's , was Cal the closest one to getting it right .
Cavanaugh and Batten are trying to get out of it , they are useless

Cal was easily the closest out of all the journos he's very good late.

OR and here is a thought none of the KPP would do anything next year, a couple of SF's or half forwards might. It may be fractionally shortsighted but I get it

So Kennedy and Cochran tonight?

If Kennedy lasts he should be top of the list I'd be surprised if we take a tall tonight bar Cochran, maybe we get 'lucky' and Cochran gets through to the rookie like Edwards did, but you'd assume a late bid comes in

What's the consensus view in the cold light heart of the following day? Typical Swans draft?

Loved the first pick, more on board with the second pick now seeing their reasoning for it
