We don’t need half backs. Half our list can play there-
Burton
Farrell
J.Burgoyne
Sinn
Bergman
Williams
Byrne-Jones
Jones
L.Evans
Atkins
And we have 2 f/s prospects that are half backs
R.Burgoyne
Montgomery
That’s 12 guys competing for 3 spots already.
We need a quality small forward (Berry), tall backs and a young ruck (Dodson).
Only Narkle was rookie F Evans was on the senior listWe already have a rookie list spot available.
Narkle and F. Evans were the two held on the rookie list so if one goes to Logan Evans we still have 1 available unless Im missing something here.
So we have 5 Main list spots + 1 Cat A Rookie + 1 Cat B Rookie
biggest x factor is Hotton probably, if it wasn't for the acl and subsequent op, then it would be easier decision. Suppose recruiters see the doctors reports and know the risks. Not really, our inability to create anything off half back exposed us in the finals.
I'm not too fussed with the position of the player we pick. Go for the biggest X factor available IMO.
This day and age ACL's people come back 100% easily.biggest x factor is Hotton probably, if it wasn't for the acl and subsequent op, then it would be easier decision. Suppose recruiters see the doctors reports and know the risks.
What has Sinn done to justify midfield minutes? If we get Lindsay and push Sinn to Midfield rotation I’m down for it. Would prefer others or sliders before Lindsay but don’t think he as a Half Back prospect is a bad selection. Allan/Allen, Hoton, Tauru or Reid before Lindsay. Don’t want Berry/Barry, 181cm tweener forward, Mehh…

This should not stop us from picking him.
Better kick & more paceYeah he's just an accumulator and I don't think he fits I think too similar to Rozee.
We need a Wines replacement but a better kick.
Anyone know anything about Alex van Wyk, Norwood ruckman who has transferred to Roosters?
20 yo, 113 Kg, 202cm, twice Leg's reserves B&F in consecutive seasons. Stuck behind Boyd at Nord.
Is he athletic enough?
Is he a combative type?
Skill level?
Upside?
That's a very high ceilingThere will be a team that sees Murphy Reid's game and loves it.
I think his ceiling is kinda like Simon Black.
Yeah, if the planets align but it was more based on the type of player he is.That's a very high ceiling
IMO , we need to draft outside speed with class. We have lost Amon and Duursma in the last 2 years and Boaky will probably be in his last season. We haven’t drafted a genuine outside mid to fill that bill in the last 3 drafts. I would like to see class + speed and a good penetrating kick - and of course someone who knows how to get the haggot !!!
No more small forwards, we need bigger bodied types around the ball.
That’s our biggest problem area in finals.
We get monstered by the opposition.
People complain all the time about it then want us to draft some weedy midget.
FMD!
And a big bodied midfielder is a definite requirement tooWe don’t need half backs. Half our list can play there-

Bo Allan. And a big bodied midfielder is a definite requirement too
Got through a season with minimal time off and may get through preseason with minimal time off. What has Sinn done to justify midfield minutes?
