I am sold on Gerreyn too after watching a few more of his videos. I know it’s only wafl colts but he reminds me so much of Brendan Lade. Big and strong, solid skills, good contested mark and deft touch with his ruck work. Will fill out into a massive guy in time looking at him. He is the forward/second ruck we need to complement our more mobile athletic types in Georgiades, Marshall and lukosious.
Is he a better kick than Lord?

Hi Macca. Are you going to drop your mock draft or draft list on here?

I’ll put a rankings once i’m comfortable with it. Still have a bunch of players to look at more closely

Then the first things I noticed was a mark in front of goal with the kick on goal not shown after the mark. Then in the GF his first mark forward followed by a kick that went Oof.
I think what gets missed out is that he's played a lot of ruck time too this year. I think if we train/develop him as a pure forward there's a large upside. I've said it for ages that we need a goal kicking coach like Schulz. The lack of one is not a reason to pick someone like Gerryne.

Based on rankings and how it could fall this is how I'm hoping it turns out for us.
16. Lindsay winger that can play multiple positions.
32. Davis would love for him to fall to us big body that can play multiple positions also.
38. Gerreyn ruck that can play forward.
45. likely after bids we move forward and take Nicholls SA Key forward/Defender

So far we have 6 list spots available (5 main + 1 rookie)

The first 4 picks will be used on whatever the club needs.

But the 5th pick is what Im more curious about. Pick 94 will be moving up to around the 60s after bid matching etc.

If no one bids on Benny Barrett (possibility) Im hopeful we get him as a Cat B.

Use the 60s pick (5th pick) on Rome Burgoyne and take the remaining rookie spot into rookie draft to get maybe SA locals Jay Polkinghorne or Charlie West (highly unlikely he'll be there) or Louie Montgomery F/S

So in the end we would have 7 new draftees rather than 6 in a strong and deep draft.

5 on the main list + Cat A rookie (best talent) + Cat B rookie (Barrett)

Pretty likely all 3 won't get bid on

This would be terrible for us. Lindsay has limited upside. Davis and Gerryne are fine picks but I'd rather Charlie West over Nicholls although I don't think we should take 2 KPFs given midfield is a need.

Based on those rankings and who's gone after our picks, it should be Hotton, Jack Ough, Kayle Gerryne and Day-Wicks

16. Port Adelaide -- Joe Berry

Murray Bushrangers/Vic Country

FWD, 181cm

Berry's creativity, scoreboard impact and precise ball use has made him a first-round lock, and he has a host of clubs interested in this range. It's the type of player Port Adelaide would have loved in finals, able to make the most of half-chances and execute under pressure. Berry adds immediate competition in a shallow small forward unit at the Power, who have also shown interest in Cooper Hynes and Luke Trainor.

Are we interested in Hotton?
Seems a Port pick within this régime, Rozee, Sinn, highly touted juniors who stalled in their draft year. If he hold form, Hotton and Hargrave will be with us in 2025.

I Agree Mids is a need maybe we look at a big bodied mid with a later pick if we miss out on Hamish Davis like Phoenix Hargrave, Jack Ough, Luke Urquhart or Lucca Grego
