Berry is definitely one i'm coming around to, even though I still have him lower than most others do in my rankings. He does fill a need, he looks like a Parker pick.

Would still prefer Hotton if we are going for a small who can play forward though. His forward craft is very good and there is obvious midfield potential, plus I feel he will become the better player.

Collingwood wanting to get in front of Sydney? Maybe the have their eyes on the same late tall?
Think I heard someone mention/imply that the swans were keen on Dennis, not sure if the pies would be looking at him too?

Whoops, just realised I read the trade the wrong way around.

Dodson isnt on the list of draft nominees on the afl website. Wonder if thats a mistake or if he hasnt nominated?

I believe he's got till the 13th

Looking everywhere

You'd reckon you would be pretty keen to get the paperwork lodged though

“Nominations close on November 13 ahead of the first day of the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft on November 20.”

Would be stupid to not nominate Benny. Saying that it sounded like it was all gearing up for Port to take him in the South Aussie select podcast he spoke in this week
I think there's a difference between nominations for the main draft and the rookie draft.

We wouldn't probably want him on the main list in place of one of our picks, he'd be ranked lower than that, but if you nominate him for the main draft you must use a main list spot on him.

Nominate for the rookie draft and if he gets there we automatically can list him before the rookie draft.

It's unlikely anyone will pick him in the main draft.

If we don’t nominate him though and he does get bid on does that mean we can’t match?

You just nominate them now. If no one bids on a nominated player a club can just them slide to the rookie draft.

Correct.

Correct.
I'm not sure that is the case. If you nominate them for the main draft, the rule used to be you had to put them on the main list with your last draft pick. That rule might've changed, but that was the old one.
