We've lodged our initial list as have all other clubs so can you delist someone now? I didn't think so but could be wrong. Picks have all been allocated already. If we delisted someone to re-rookie them a week ago we'd have a round 5 pick.Yep. We should keep a fifth spot open for the main draft. It puts our last pick up say 20 spots to get someone rated like a Dennis or Josh Murphy.
Read an article the other day where another club recruiter thought Benny Barrett could get drafted late. Would be a shame.
We may not main list him. Our preference clearly will be for him to become an automatic Cat B.I thought we nominated him ?

Makes the non-delisting of McEntee even more stupid.
We could delist someone after ND and re-rookie them and then give the senior spot to someone like Jack Watkins via SSP. I would rather take a rookie pick though
Hypothetically, if he were picked, could we still match with the points deductions going towards our F2? And then not pick McEntee just completely delist him the morning after. I know who I'd want on my list between those 2Read an article the other day where another club recruiter thought Benny Barrett could get drafted late. Would be a shame.
Yeh agree. I'm not keen on moving later into the draft. Use our first round pick to get best available mid or key position player. I favour key position coz its so hard to get good kps later in draft.I’d have to be pretty sure who we have targeted would be there if we move back the first pick.
It’s starting to feel like we have another Andrew Moore type Rabbit out of hat trick coming.
Getting bad vibes.
Why re-rookie?Feels like a straightforward decision that we should delist and re rookie a player so that we have an extra main list spot if we want to use it.
Also must say I would be surprised if Barrett goes in the ND now largely because of some bolters that have come onto the scene late in the season. I'm talking prospects like Dolan, Bowman, Unwin, Hayes, Murphy, Toner. There was a point when Malakai Champion was a top 30 prospect and now has slid outside 50 (maybe even 60) according to many.Read an article the other day where another club recruiter thought Benny Barrett could get drafted late. Yep, again he does okay in the ruck at u18 level, much like his contested marking, because of his height advantage. He can but his ruck craft isnt awesome

Break tackles? I normally respect and agree with you mate but must say I find this particular one a tad odd. I've seen him do this on many occasions.Hynes doesnt really do this though. I’d say its a partnof his game he really needs to work on
Very different players in terms of their game styles! In what way does he remind you of Moore?Hynes reminds me of Andrew Moore. I liked Andrew Moore!

Big body. Not quite third tall...not quite mid. Nice mark. Contested. A bit fumbly. Almost very good but just a fraction off.Very different players in terms of their game styles! In what way does he remind you of Moore?

Think even Twomey and Rookie Me Central had this on their write ups if I'm right
For Primary rucks yes. Normally when a chop out ruck goes in at U18 level they usually aren't 200cmI get you don't like him but that's silly. 200cm at u18 level is commonplace in ruck.
He is very mobile and is almost an extra on-baller when he rucks.
Fair enough, although you aren't comparing apples to apples there cause Reid is a totally different beast altogether. Like in a separate league on his ownI trust my eyes and I dont see him do it as much as he should. Hes no Harley Reid.

Regarding your first point, that is right but all our tall forwards can do that include Mitch, Luko and Marshall. We need one that's a genuine forward 50 target like Armstrong or Shanahan. Hence why Whitlock does not suit us.And chop out rucks often go up against primary rucks. He's handy as a back up ruck thanks to his height but he is also mobile enough to get around the ground and get involved in play.
Being a 200cm forward at u18 level doesn't preclude you from being a good AFL player, The King brothers are well over 200cm and no one backed off drafting them because of their height advantage.
Happy to see it, but I'm not sure if Bergman is clean enough or has the ability to get the quick handball off in congestion. I'd like to see him in action over a 6-week period to get a better sense of whether he can consistently perform in that role.Just saw some content around Trainor and how the concussion issues are rumours and speculation (according to his Sandy coach). I don't know how true that is but assuming the club does due diligence on Trainor and he's fine, for me he's an equal 3rd option with our first pick behind Reid and Shanahan.
I would slide back and take that 16 and 21 deal. Would give us access to Trainor and one of Hynes/Dattoli/Hannaford.
If that were to happen, what are people's thoughts on moving Bergman into the MID/FWD role? Not wing! Centre bounce and forward in a rotating role with JHF and Rozee. And Trainor fits as the 3rd intercepting tall.
