Nah, think it gives us picks in the rookie or some shit as we have the spots.I don’t get that really. Does that mean we won’t pick at the rookie either? Why would you let 14 other clubs take rookie picks before you select again when you could have added someone tonight?
Maybe it does mean we pick Rome Burgoyne and Montgomery tomorrow.
It’s only 7pm ………….in Perthlol I stayed up for that! Need to get up at 5am
2.So what list spots do we have left
SheeshAnd we pass.
No current season stats available
Is Barrett seriously 174? That's very short. Only 17 though right? Probably has a few CM.
I reckon we’ll use the SSP (maybe even two spots) this year. Get Watkins, Rome and Louie to all train hard over summer incentivising them. Whoever looks the part gets on the list.Welcome Benny Barrett!!!!
Automatic Cat B selection now. Beauty!!
I don't really understand not filling the list and using our last main list pick. Either we're thinking a SSP or more rookies this year. Seems strange to me though. If we go a rookie, we're effectively just getting a nearly 20 pick downgrade on what we'd get here.
Happy to have Benny Barrett though
Id consider picking up Grainger Baras. Hes young enough that there might be some room for development and old enough that in a pickle he could come in and play.
I think it's a better option than picking up a stick figure teenager or some journeyman like Sam Durdin.
Yeah, there's a reason why he didn't play the whole U18 carnival, but to have an 18 y.o that's played good footy at SANFL reserves level and has some potential, on a Cat B list, which is usually super speculative picks like Irishmen, is a good win for our depth, and who knows maybe he overcomes his size and becomes a little gun.Is Barrett seriously 174? You’re grabbing at players that weren’t drafted as small forwards that did play forward.Pretty sure Wingard played a ton forward and wasn't a KPF m7 but you do you.
Rookie draft salary falls outside of salary cap.Welcome Benny Barrett!!!!

Gotta hope they've got a plan.I reckon we’ll use the SSP (maybe even two spots) this year. Get Watkins, Rome and Louie to all train hard over summer incentivising them. Whoever looks the part gets on the list.
174cm Was he standing in a hole?Sounds right , he's passed me dozens of times while at work and I tower over him (194 cm)
Agreed. That’s what I assumed we were doing when we didn’t nominate any of them.Gotta hope they've got a plan.
With the position of our list, personally I'd be really focused on drafting a kid this year and next year when we have quite a solid amount of turnover, but have no draft picks, I would be looking more at the mature agers/SSP types. FAs would be a bonus too.
Draper to the Crows and Barrett to us. Ol' "No AFL in the SANFL" South love producing talent for the SA AFL teamsYeah, there's a reason why he didn't play the whole U18 carnival, but to have an 18 y.o that's played good footy at SANFL level and has some potential, on a Cat B list, which is usually super speculative picks like Irishmen, is a good win for our depth, and who knowsayne he overcomes his size and becomes a little gun.
