Agree with most of that.
I would keep Bella Smith. Thought she showed us enough as a crash & bash midfielder, and we were a better midfield with her in the mix.
Lily Pearce I’d keep as well. Even if it’s only for depth, but the recruitment of a ruck (or 2) is essential.
Bella definitely made a difference when she came into the team.

Glad I was sitting down when I read this. We ended up having the equal 2nd toughest draw behind Melbourne this season, while somehow the reigning premiers had the easiest.

Bring on a full 17 game season where you play each team once

Year 1:
  • 8 home
  • 8 away
  • 1 x gather round

Year 2:
  • reverse of home & away matches from year one
  • work out how to balance it with the gather round clash, even if that means playing the same team in that round in consecutive years

Taken from the above article - thinking it's safe to say the club has acknowledged a weakness from this past season based on this:

Western Bulldogs ruck Alice Edmonds has interest from West Coast, Geelong and the Giants, but is contracted through to 2026 with the Dogs steadfast in their belief she will stay at the club.

Darcy Moloney name mentioned.

Pity they couldn't spell her name correctly...

The Swans are again likely to be aggressive in the upcoming AFLW Trade Period and are viewed as the frontrunners to secure Geelong midfielder Darcy Maloney, though Adelaide and West Coast are also among the clubs in the hunt.

On my post a couple above - can you imagine if we traded in another Bulldogs player 😎

Another? Which other Bulldogs players do we have on our list? Only one I can think of is technically the skipper, but I think she only played one game at the Kennel before being delisted, so it wasn't exactly a trade.

I meant after getting Bailey for our AFL team

Can you imagine the melts from their fans if our AFLW team also successfully trades in Bulldogs player

Would we be able to start calling them our development club before sending the players to us

No surprise.

Hard for her to be a regular starter in our midfield and is the most expendable with strong trade value.

Edmonds would be a fantastic get, but if that’s not possible I hope we have another iron or two in the fire.

I just hope we are aggressive in chasing players this trade period.
