Chris's pitch was really good, sounds like one of us, had to keep it relatively tame for political reasons, but still made it clear that he has sat in the outer and experienced the discontent like the rest of us have. Didn't shy away from talking about change. I'd love to have him on the board and someone like that is exactly why i'd like to be able to vote in more directors. I had already voted for George before I heard this but i'd be very happy to hear that Chris had been elected.

George is saying the right things about the board and clearly Timmy agrees as he served him up a nice question about it which was clearly pre-arranged. The board is the key and for that to be the focus is excellent. Limited terms and 50% member voted directors is a great start. I've already voted for George and i'm very happy with how he carried himself.

Rob was pretty vague and certainly spoke more like he wanted evolution rather than revolution, which makes sense for an incumbent, but it's not particularly inspiring. Referenced the coaching in particularly uninspiring, cop-out way with the "it's not just one". Easily the weakest pitch.

So is Snowden saying they're all bad, but year after year, we don't do a single thing about it! We really are run by incompetent idiots!

I don't know the guy at all but I've decided to vote for Chris for these reasons.

I value the fact that he is an outsider with no incentive to get jobs for the boys or play favourites. I think we can all agree that getting some more impartial people/outsiders on the board who have no allegiances is probably a good thing.

I also think unlike the other candidates and board members he will bring a genuine supporter perspective and understands the current discontent within the supporter base. I appreciate he has come on here and taken questions.

And I'm going to assume he is not a cooker which is an added bonus.

I figure he has zero chance to win given the name-value of other candidates, but I firmly believe having people like him on the board would be beneficial to the club.
Go back & read what his priority is. We need serious football people.

The gaslighting dogwhistle baked into that line.

Like, no sh¡t, Rob.

But he has been the common denominator for a recordbreaking 12 seasons and would’ve been sacked at least twice anywhere else.

I don't want 'serious football people' who are on the board entirely for the purposes of sticking up for their friends, family and self interests.

The fact of the matter is that the biggest decision which sits with the board is not a complex football question. It's actually pretty simple.

Listen to that interview on AA, especially his closing argument. He gets it. He understands what his duties are as a Port Adelaide person.

2019 and 2022.

Even if us irrational Poort Powa fans need to understand that it's not the SANFL anymore for wanting a coach with a 60% winning record sacked because of his poor finals performances, after 2019 we'd missed finals again having only played (and lost) one final over the last five years, and after 2022 we'd missed finals off of an 0-5 start. ****ing University would've sacked their coach off of those performances.

Your first sentence is not my definition of a serious football person. I mean someone who has winning premierships as their main priority & driving force for all decisions made. I'm certainly not keen on more self-interested board members, who is.

Voted for George
Also voted for Tredders

Unfortunately i dont think it really matters as thats 2 voices and the others handpicked "yes people" by the biggest problem with the PAFC Koch.

Until we get rid of the likes of Koch, Cardone, Restas, Osborn and Ransom (i mean seriously... why is she even on the board) ... it really wont matter who else is on the board

Port is ****ed until Koch leaves, and if Cardone takes over then i think im done with this footy club permanently

It's good news.

As I've stated b4 these questions need to be asked by our younger members. They will not take any notice of older members asking these questions.
How old is old?

What of they know that member is going to actually take action and campaign hard for it publicly and behind the scenes?

I believe they are implying we’re like the citizens of Springfield chanting monorail. Whilst it appears good news now, after a couple of announcements not welcomed we will be hanging it on the successful person
