2024 Daisy Pearce Trophy
1st: Kate Hore (70 votes)
2nd: Tyla Hanks (68)
3rd: Maeve Chaplin (67)
4th: Eliza McNamara (64)
5th: Sinead Goldrick (61)
6th: Megan Fitzsimon (59)
7th: Shelley Heath (58)
8th: Alyssa Bannan & Tahlia Gillard (57)
10th: Lily Mithen (53)

Another close count saw Kate Hore snatch the lead back in R10 with a 3-goal dead rubber game against the wooden spooners. Her third straight DPT.

Hanks' 5th top 3 finish in a row (includes 2 wins and 2 RUs).

When you do the maths and extrapolations, McNamara would've won if she played every game. But, remember, she missed R6 after this:

Update:

December 9th for Port Adelaide.

Could be the closest run of the 18, with Dowrick having missed a game.
Which had me thinking Goody, Moloney or Houghton were strong chances to win. But in fact it was Scholz to come out on top, despite missing a game like Dowrick!

1st: Matilda Scholz – 121
2nd: Abbey Dowrick – 115
3rd: Ashleigh Saint – 109
4th: Shineah Goody – 108
5th: Amelie Borg – 103
6th: Ebony O’Dea – 98
7th: Maria Moloney – 96
8th: Piper Window – 91
9th: Gemma Houghton – 90
=10th: Molly Brooksby & Teagan Germech – 89

Further, of the players to play every game, Saint (referred to as Woodland in some graphics released by the club tonight, but not in the above article) was the highest finisher which is also a bit of a surprise to me. Whatever her name, it's her new PB, having previously gone 10th 8th 10th at Adelaide, and 6th last year at Port.

Dowrick has gone 3rd, 1st, 2nd in her three seasons.

Kirsty Lamb (missed 2 games and averaged 10 touches) is probably borderline on staying in an exclusive group of stalwarts. More on that later.
Doesn't get the top 10 finish this year. First time in her career. Joins quite a few other stalwarts (like Blackburn, Kearney, Paxman and Stevens) to have fallen off the below list this year or last:

Top 10 club B&F every season (2017 - 2024)
Bates (1st, 6th, 4th, 1st, 6th, 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd)
Garner (5th, 2nd, 6th, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 1st, 1st)
Eva (2nd, 1st, 2nd, 9th, 5th, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 10th)
Marinoff (3rd, 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 1st)

And ftr Jaimee Lambert, by virtue of finishing 11th in the Bulldogs' 2017 count, narrowly misses both that list and the "Top 10 at 3 clubs" club.

Hard to believe Jas Garner finished 6th in the B&F in her first season at North, she has literally owned the award since then.

Three quarter time of the Round 1 match against the Lions, Kate McCarthy made an interesting comment about Jas Garner, "She is in my opinion the best player in the league and should be the favourite for the B&F this season, and if she doesn't get the three votes for today's performance, then she is invisible to the umpires".
