Sorry, this is made up. Show me the data!
He takes solid marks, but not pack marks. Neither does Cripps or Dusty or Buddy for that matter.

I read it on twitter, so hopefully it is wrong.

I am just trying to work out why, a 195cm big bodied mid, with speed and endurance that plays like Cripps wouldn't be pick 1? So when I read about his marking, it made sense.

I think and tbh Cal has backed this up, there’s probably more chance of Smilie being there at our next pick then Bo.

I think that’s the thinking of our club now. Guarantee Bo and high percentage Smilie gets through or Guarantee Smilie and small chance Bo gets through.

There’s so much going on atm. We’ve settled on Lalor only recently.
Wonder if Dees jump for Bo at 5 now.

Can someone who knows more than the masses sell Bo Allan to me?

I’m trying not to be negative but I hate in between players. Is he a midfielder or is he a defender? Why did he only average 11 touches in the WAFL? What are his strengths? What are his weaknesses?

It is giving me flashbacks to when we reached for Conca.
Was WAFL seniors, and he played as a defender there. Playing mids for WA in the U18s, he averaged 20.

Im not a fan of Allan at #6 specially over Smillie

Smillie athletic profile is totally fine for a big inside mid and would be rare to find another player thats size thats much better
his 20 mtr time of 3.09 is great for the role he plays and will become a beast in 3 years time.

Bo Allan is not a genuine inside mid and may never become one , sure if we want to draft a wing/hb but at pick #6 he would have to be an elite winger or HBF to do that

People forget Smillie was ranked #1 most of the year for a reason and he is quality player and the upside is massive
His contested marking needs work but thats a KPF problem not an inside mid problem and can be improved with his size with good coaching but again he is an inside mid not a foward and thats what we should be concentrating on.

Smillie wont slide to our pick #10 but Allan possibly might if we really like him
Sam Cousins is a good recruiter and has a great eye and will have a massive influence in this call hope he gets this right

Who knows maybe its a bluff to get Saints/Dee's to jump early so we get the player we want at #10
I hope

I'd say FOS is "slowly becoming out of the question" because he won't be there. I've always found the biggest obstacle to drafting a player is someone already picked them :D

This does not apply to Lindsay.
Always an exception to the rule

Frustrated Buzz Lightyear GIF

He averaged 20 at champs and 6 tackles as a mid and 21 touches at colts.

Has a lot of development needed to be a mid.

But his pros

Very good over head
Left footer and penetrating kick
Leadership
campaigner
Loves to tackle
probably the best athlete in the pool(maybe fos or tauru)
Big lad at 191cm
Versatile
Clean hands
Very good at contested stuff.

He needs to improve his decision making with ball in hand and find easier ball.

Edit: bit late but he’s also good at breaking tackles.
Agree with most Ca man. Not the clean hands though. He’s not a clean one touch handler IMO. Not terrible but compared to the top mids…

Fact or opinion? Asking for tiger_tough

Love it when you’ve been reading existential philosophy
