FYI

Will add a 2024 NAB Draft & Trade tracker thread, stickied.

Tag me when we have a confirmed trade/draft and I will update the thread accordingly

Is he too similar to Sanders?
I'd have Hargrave splitting time between forward and midfield. He is more damaging in the forward line then Sanders.
When in the midfield they do have similarities however Sanders is alot more damaging on the spread. Hargrave would be a great option to develop as a Libba replacement or defensive midfielder, strong frame, tenacious and a great clean handball out of tight spots.
As is the case for most outside the first round this year his kicking is his biggest weakness.

Another late option, tough as nails extractor lacking the polished of those who will go ahead of him. Bonus being a Bulldogs supporter modelling his game on Libba. The hair helps aswell.

Looked young Cody up and he is in Hawks NGA

On the smaller side for a mid but has some serious wheels (2.914 20m and 8.012 agility at the national combine)

Hopefully we don't get bent over by the cats and manage to get another pick out of them. I can see us improving our offer for Gold Coast pick once trade period is done. Just a matter of if the pick is still available then. I read the Saints have offered future 1 and 2 for their pick 13. Thats going to be tough to beat I suspect.

If we end up with 17, what is the likelihood of Joe Berry still being there?

Perfect fit for us as that high half forward whos competitive, has serious running power and proper football iq. Would prefer him over Hotton based on the limited vision available of the two if we had the choice. No idea how likely that is though, hence the question

Pretty much 0. He’s the reason Blues wanted to keep pick 11 so bad.

The athleticism of Sturt tall Jacob Molier may have caught the eye of recruiters at the Telstra AFL State Draft Combine on Saturday.
Molier excelled in the jumping tests, winning the vertical jump on the day with a height of 64cm and finishing equal-first in the left foot running vertical jump (84cm).
However, it was Molier’s speed in the 20m sprint which was particularly exciting for a player of his size, finishing second with a time of 2.920 seconds.
The only other player to run faster on the day was South Adelaide speedster Benny Barrett, who ran a blistering time of 2.913 seconds.

Woodville-West Torrens’ Tate Delmenico performed strongly across the testing combine, recording an 80cm left foot running vatical jump, a 3.040 second 20m sprint and led all-comers in the agility test in a time of 8.213 seconds.

Glenelg utility Thomas McKay also performed well recording an 81cm left foot running vertical jump, 8.309 second agility test and a six minutes and 43 second 2km time trial.

Rounding out the strong performances were Norwood’s Jay Polkinghorn who tied first with Molier in the left foot running vertical jump by recording 84cm, while at the SA Athletics Stadium, Glenelg’s Harrison Ramm and Woodville-West Torrens U18 captain Jett Hasting couldn’t be split in the 2km time trial, both crossing the line in six minutes and 29 seconds.

Kade Herbert, Louie Montgomery and Tom Cochrane were all unable to test due to injury.

With Carlton trading up to pick 3 and west coast landing Owies, where do you see Joe Berry going as thought he was a good fit for Carlton but don’t have the pick to get him unless they use 3.

Hypothetically, if we end up with 3 picks in the 20-35 range, what kind of players will be available and what sort of mix would you be looking to take?
Hannaford/Hotton/Berry not expecting all three to be there though

Hamish Davis, Angus Clarke, Harrison Oliver, Christian Moraes, Jesse Dattoli

Just a nice balance of smalls, midfielder and defender combinations

Don't know how much this would effect us but saw a news article that Kayle Gerreyn is getting a lot of interest as of late.

Had him as the second best ruck after Dodson looks like he might be taken in the second round too after he had a good end of year + his combine results.

He is an interesting one given he is seen as different things by every recruiter I have spoken to. Alot see him as a defender whilst others a ruck or forward or second ruck.

Harding has to be in conversation. Competitive skilful big man and Smith a lock at GWS
