AFLW 2024 - Round 6 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Just proves how unbalanced our list make up is tbh. They need 2 KPPs in the draft to at least make the reserves stand a chanceWe moved Hamling because we had no key forwards.
I’ve been thinking this for a while. There are times when we need an easy goal or two and although papley can do this he needs maximum effort. Guys like Willie Rioli/kozzie/flyin Ryan can just do with ease at times.I think we need another live wire forward. We have paps and he gives us a boost but he’s more like a short kpf than anything else . Last 2 norm smiths have been won by forward pockets. I’d love a crack at kozzie
I’d accept it if it’s the last day of the trade period but it’s still as usual our. Club not showing a backbone at the trade period. Can you name one trade that we’ve actually got a good deal on? Yet we are happy to cop a trash deal for Dawson a worse one for Mitchell, etc. when do we get to a stage and say enough is enough. Give us fair value. That’s all I ask. If you think Parker is worth a 3 year deal he’s worth more than a mid third rounder
Correct, and out of all of our talls he was the one we chose to remove from the backline. We moved Hamling because we had no key forwards.
Uh... in his 5 full games last year, with significant time off half forward, he averaged about 8 contested possessions (plus 12 uncontested), 5 clearances, 4 tackles.Jeez I hope Sheldrick comes good because some of you seem to be assuming a lot for a bloke with 6 contested possessions and zero clearances so far in his career.
I am not sure what outcome you are expecting. Parker, at his age and salary doesn't have a lot of value.
43 would be a perfectly good outcome. I doubt we will even get that much.

Sam Murray for a second rounder. Best deal we have had in 20 years.I’d accept it if it’s the last day of the trade period but it’s still as usual our. Club not showing a backbone at the trade period. Rookie spot but I wouldn't want to go crazy for himI’d hope we’re sniffing around DGB - at this point, likely just a bust but we should kick the tyres, given how highly regarded he was.
My bad, you're 100% right. I was looking at the wrong numbers.Uh... in his 5 full games last year, with significant time off half forward, he averaged about 8 contested possessions (plus 12 uncontested), 5 clearances, 4 tackles.

I just remember it as the month I got over my disappointment in not drafting Van Rooyen, though injuries haven't helped Gus since. My bad, you're 100% right. I was looking at the wrong numbers.
So basically we aren't going to do anything. Some extra info from another press conference with Keane (video doesn’t seem to be uploaded anywhere)
Sounds like Ladhams likely to stay
Somebody asked about Wicks - had a positive exit meeting and fully invested
Sounds like we’re not looking at trading anyone in:
"In terms of areas we might need to address, we might look to do that in the draft," Keane added.
Sydney provide clarity on young gun's future, rule out exits for fringe pair: AFL trade news

Not really needed tbh.Looks like we may look at a small forward in the draft
Doesn't seem to be many good options. So basically we aren't going to do anything.
It makes sense, I imagine extra cap space is going at retaining Warner and co.Some extra info from another press conference with Keane (video doesn’t seem to be uploaded anywhere)

I'm pretty sure we tend to delist some after the trade period so that we have the opportunity to find new homes for them in the meantime. IIRC we finalise our list after the trade period but before the draft. So the other delistings must get announced today? I'm surprised how little so far
Not really needed tbh.
Just play Campbell, Cleary and Warner forward more to join Hayward, Papley and 2 talls.
Hanily seems to be a good pickup.
Yep, I want us to go with 2 KPFs, especially against smaller, quicker oppo.Look at how many Brisbane play hopefully means horse might get it through his thick head that we don’t need three talls plus a ruckman
