They don't have the same freedom to go in hard for the tackle for fear of free against/suspension so will do more ball watching and niggling rather than proper tackling. That free against Dunkley earlier this quarter shows how they can get pinged for dangerous tackle even when tackling carefully.

But what it's actually resulting in is player's getting rid of the ball quicker for fear of being called holding the ball. Hence it's favouring the spreading midfielders over the plodding inside types.
