It's time to give up on us landing Heeney, we need to throw the war chest at Warner, he is the best player in the game right now.

The Swans owe us for swindling us with a cooked Hannebery and us gifting them Tony Lockett, Barry Hall and Tommy Walsh.

I would even settle for Rowbottom. McInerney or the Lizard as compensation.

Well we got the guy that drafted him instead, maybe that move will pay off this year.
Chad Warner is a classic example of why I never indulge in the "we should picked so and so" instead of who ever we picked ahead of them. Drafting is such a difficult "art" and nobody gets it even close to right all the time.

Dalrymple actually got lucky in that he had 4 picks in the 2019 draft because 3 times he chose players who he thought were better prospects than Warner.

Of those, one has been traded, one was delisted and the other has played 4 games in 4 years.

3 pick ones, 5 top 5 picks, 2 NGAs and a sydney special.

when was the last time saints got a pick 5 or better to get one of these players?

Windy and Owens we were ALL stressing they would be picked first round and we wouldn’t be able to match. So we got lucky there. Kept hearing about how if pou was a few days younger he would have been in the next draft class and been a top pick.

to be fair, the did give us the great Trent Dennis Lane

Reid, Warner, gulden, daicos, Walsh, rozee, green, serong, Anderson, rowell

The best players on their team already. Similar age to king, Clark, Dow, windy, Owens, pou, Byrnes. We need our young core to step it up and become match winners. No excuses plenty of examples

Ed Richards and Sinclair had slow starts. We need some to have break outs.

He was another Scott Watters special, he coached him when he was at Subiaco before he was drafted by the Swans.

TDL was a good WAFL player and an average AFL player just like Watters was a good WAFL coach and an average AFL coach.

Subi were a well drilled outfit from Peter German when he arrived, so not sure how much of their success can be attributed to Watters either

Watching the Abbie Holmes interviews at the end of that Dockers Pies game; Alex Pierce and Darcy Moore both great to listen to, inspiring as captains and players.

Another draw with some terrible umpiring trying to manufacture a close result again, the AFL is becoming more like the WWE.

It's more sports entertainment these days than a proper sport, getting eyeballs on the screen is more important than integrity.

Yeah they are both impressive captains on and off the field, we haven't had a captain like them since Nick Riewoldt.

Abbey Holmes is impressive too, much better than Daisy Pearce, thank god she went into coaching as she was awful.

Why do commentators - looking at you BT - make such a big deal after a draw and discuss it ad nauseum. It’s part of the home and away and should stay. Makes a great finish to the game. Neither team was good enough to win it.
Extra time is a crock, especially if one of the teams is down players due to injury.

Stop mucking about and leave it as is. Richo was the only commentator last night who spoke sense.

Ran past the ball. Elected to bump. Whitefield's cheek already home in Sydney.

Geelong player. Graded as Low impact because "stuff". Don't do it again...

The AFL we all love no doubt

So it looks like they'll let him off because he says he wasn't yelling "F...... C...s!!!" at the umpires bench, he was just yelling it in general, and the fact it was clearly heard by the umpires bench, security guards and the general public, including children, was just rather unfortunate. 🥴
this is in the "Laura Kane has okayed this" pile

Would seem very unfair to sign off the Jordan Clark 50 for dissent but then clear Clarko when the excuses are exactly the same.

Players we could have conceivably got without any special trading up in the draft ( which we also could have conceivably done ).

Elijah Hewett : Instead of Phillipou.
Sam Berry : Instead of Allison.
Caleb Serong and Blake Acres: Instead of Hill, Howard, and Ryder
Rozee, Bailey Smith, or Zak Butters , Instead of Max King. ( But Max is a generational player right )?
Naughton instead of :Clark or Coffield, except we'd have stormed Moorabbin with pitchforks if we hadn't at least picked someone mid-fielderish.
Jy Simpkin. If we hadn't traded our pick to Hawks (Coffield ).
Callum Ah Chee, Weiderman, Harry McKay, or Charlie Curnow: Instead of Gresh and Carlisle.
