The Port media people probably told him he had to apologise.

You could see it on his face when he went to stand and clap off Breust about 10 seconds after. He knew he done ****ed up. Not that Ginnivan shouldn't expect it, just not from an opposition coach probably, and not straight after the game on the field. Last nights interaction was a recipe for someone getting chin checked and the AFL will hate it. They just fined McCartney 20k for walking passed Papley and them bumping into each other.

I’d like to see a few guys add some kgs, king for example looks too thin for the way he’s trying to play. In all honesty though you site Brisbane and yes they have a few like Rayner who are muscled up but they also have two human pencils in Daniher and Hipwood who go ok on their day.

I can remember standing behind Lenny Hayes at an auction in Elwood, he looked about 180cm and he was so thin it was crazy, tiny little waist his partner was bigger. On the field he was a wrecking ball and could stop the biggest player dead in his tracks. So it’s a targeted program as it should be, you encourage guys to spend more time in the gym or on the track based on individual needs. It’s also down to genetics, I don’t think you’re ever going to see Nas bulked up or Sinclair rocking chorus girl legs.

Earlier this year I was on a flight home from the Gold Coast. Richmond players were on the same flight. I remember thinking that they looked smaller than expected. Even guys like Taranto were not as thick set as I expected them to be.

Hawthorn got exactly what they deserved. Take a bow Ken Hinkley & Port Adelaide! And Sam Mitchell & Co honestly, just STFU there's not a single non-Hawthorn supporting person who gives a flying feck!!

Hawks will have a target on their heads all next season too. Good luck being the hunted you arrogant little maggots!!

The arrogant Huks deserved to get trolled hard

The melodramatic press conference by the midget Mitchell was comical.... all faux outrage, anger and seething pain

He got outclassed and outcoached and his players got outplayed .... even with the help of the fluorescent gimps
It wouldn’t surprise me to see their entire forward line out on concussion protocols at some point next season. After ramming their heads into the oppositions arms, bodies, the ground, each other, hell, even the ball!

I was at the casino 15 years or so ago, and saw some assorted footy players hanging out with some Storm guys. The rugby guys looked huge, massive blocks of muscle, but the Aussie rules guys wouldn’t have really stood out in a crowd.

You get a few who are just really big guys but most are smaller than people think, kosi was and is a big man, Nick Riewoldt looks shorter and is pretty thin.

I can’t stand Hawthorn for several reasons starting with having my heart ripped out as a kid when we blew a good lead in 1971. They have been stalking us for decades, from what should have been our recruiting zone, to now moving into Dingley.

I think they’ve loaded up a bit early and will be found out next year with a tougher draw and clubs planning for them. I also expect a bit of blow back from those who will find themselves on the outer next year.

They're becoming my pet hate club.

Last night's carry on from Mitchell only solidified that.

Loved Hinkley bringing up Ginnivan's instagram comment.

Hawks have dished it out for months and are now sooking that someone finally dished it back to them.
Couldn’t happen to a more arrogant bunch.
But the AFL’s new lovechild now….they’ll be on them all the way to a flag next year.

Sorry, Suns. you’ve done your dash.

It's over the Ginnivan comments apprantly.

I actually didn’t mind the comment. He put himself out there, so he must now be prepared to wear it. It’ll either be water off a ducks back, or he’ll change. He’s a personality - who really cares, didn’t injure anyone.

But Kenny. Maybe he should just be a coach, be bigger than that.
Never a good look. Had the last laugh in the end - if only just.

I remember that Joey had the legs of a greyhound they were so skinny.
Used to worry they would snap.

Then you look at someone like Willy Rioli who would do well on a weighwatchers programme, and he nearly won the game for Port last night.

Watching Burgoyne last night ( very good) was like watching NAS - both of whom look like they would blow over in a strong puff of wind.

Takes all types I guess.

Ginni disrespected the opposition, there's a reason why players are taught the old one week at a time quote. He gives it every week, with words and actions, he is a rocky little shit. I personally really like him, maybe not when he does it to us. But he has to be able to cop his fair whack when it doesn't work out.

That is why what Hinkley did was fair enough, it was pure emotion and I'm all for it.

What I absolutely hated was Sicily getting involved. He went from crying being consoled to 100 in milliseconds. It wasn't a captain sticking up for his player, it was a hothead who took his sadness and turned it into anger.

The only one who really needs an apology here is Luke Bruest, imagine carrying someone off the ground who is retiring whilst abusing someone. Two teams lining up and cheering a great career, and Sicily is still mouthing off - shows just who the real w***er is here.

Saw it in another thread but the Hawks are basically identical as the England cricket team.

Hok ball = Baz ball.

Hypocrisy from former alumni in the media.

Holier than thou bs after a loss.
Just waiting for them to claim a moral victory and Port violated the spirit of AFL.

Well that is just silly. You must not watch a lot of football, as we are clearly undersized versus basically every other team.

Zero muscle mass on this squad. Genuinely highly confusing. Look at the best players the last 10-15 years. Dangerfield, Fyfe, Neale, Ablett, Judd, Swan, Martin. No skinny boys I am afraid.
You’re right, 6-8kg would be the sweet spot

I would put him in the reserves for the rest of the year and see if he can learn some ruck skills. Needs to put on 6-8kg of pure muscle in the off season.

Flags galore and still the Hawks people are sooking it up. Dermott continuing it on today. Apparently you can sniper players left right and centre but god forbid a coach use words. Love it.

If this is in reference to King, then yes he could easily put on 6kg of muscle. Obviously that doesn't apply to all our mids.

Also saw Weitering in recent weeks. Same cafe Son's of Mary believe it or not. Was wearing shorts despite cold weather, absolute tree trunks for legs.

Man v boy stuff. Weitering din't come into the league like that, he has built himself up.

Agree with this sentiment. Bumping into a few players out and about I’m always genuinely surprised how lean they are. Saw Zac Williams and thought he’d be quadzilla and a unit but he was very lean. With exception to the inside bulls (of which you don’t have many on a list), that’s the games these days.

The broadest and fittest looking player I used to see regularly out and about was Jack Billings so perhaps we should can this really stupid as shit discussion about how muscular a bunch of players look whilst sitting at a ****ing pub.

Absolutely loved what Ginnivan did game needs more like him to stir the pot.

I think the timing of what Ken did showed absolutely 0 class and respect when there is a guard of honour going on.
If he cant handle the heat of arrogant players jeez Sydney is stacked with them.
His gonna have a meltdown when they lose
