I have watched him carefully pre seasons and in game. His position, awareness and vision aren't there to be a great midfielder. It doesn't come naturally to him but when he can see the ball in front of him at either end of the ground he is a real weapon. He doesn't need to be a mid to have a real impact for us him being able to play anywhere forward or back is as big a weapon as we need. We will get a mid with the qualities that we need by the usual ways of draft, trade and free agencyWhy is he not a mid?

The same Eagles supporters who want us to give up 2 firsts or at least a first and a second for Barrass only want to give up a second and a pick swap of firsts with crows (a one spot drop) for Curtin or our first if they got it for Barrass. One of the comment on that twitter feed suggests if we finish higher on the ladder than what wea re now that we'll have to give up our 2024 1st + 2025 1st
He could beJosh Weddle is not a mid. He will play further up the ground maybe even forward.
I think Sam thinks the way I do so unless we change the coach his midfield move ain't happeningHe could be
He is a genuine utility
haha yeah it is a WA report so there will be some one way comments on itOne of the comment on that twitter feed suggests if we finish higher on the ladder than what wea re now that we'll have to give up our 2024 1st + 2025 1st
Thats a fairly large assumptionI think Sam thinks the way I do so unless we change the coach his midfield move ain't happening
No it's not an assumption mate and Weddle will not train with the mids.Thats a fairly large assumption
And Weddle will be training in the midfield next year
Was going to happen if we acquired Mckay
It’s fluidNo it's not an assumption mate and Weddle will not train with the mids.
It is an assumptionNo it's not an assumption mate and Weddle will not train with the mids.
Ok mate i don't want to argue this.It is an assumption
You said "if sam thinks the way you do"
That is an assumption
Weddle was going to train midfield
Thats fact
I'd say it is a larger assumption to say that a player who has only attended a centre bounce this season as a ruck is going to be training as a midfielder next year.Thats a fairly large assumption
And Weddle will be training in the midfield next year
Was going to happen if we acquired Mckay
I'd hope the the 4th and 5th year of a potential Barass contract are full of game incentives.
Hope we have picked up the phone to make sure Smith still wants to head to the Cats. Watching what the Hawks are doing, and he can be apart of it.

Josh as a high half forward would be sensational to watch. Creating havoc around the middle then bolting forward and kicking long bomb goals. OMG!Josh Weddle is not a mid. He will play further up the ground maybe even forward.
