Really pays to be a garbage team full of deserting rats
Hopper and Taranto would have a life-size cut out of Damien Hardwick that they take to the local rifle range, me thinks.
Based on current and previous trade periods, go back to bed, then get up and paint your fence and watch it dry, then plant some grass and watch it grow, and check back at 7.20....anything happen yet or should i check back at 7 tonight?
Maybe a reason TB wants out is because of West Coasts injury management. Every year they have one of the worst injury lists. They keep rushing injured players back in. All of their over 30s have struggled to stay on the park.TB is great when he actually plays, no more then 19 games a year and what happens if he breaks down at the pointy end of the year? This is roughly a 20% chance given his previous history over the last 4-5 years (18, 16, 19, 14 and 18 over this stretch)
I would be all in getting him if we didnt get Battle and we still have Frosty and Blanck to return from our semi final team. He isn't as required as we all seem to think he is
The other part to this is Tassie coming into the comp and the upcoming compromised drafts. We cant look to not bring in some young talent during these years and then get screwed during these compromised drafts also
I imagine we’ll be into Richmond for one of their first rounders.
L.Hodge has an offer to return as a part time mentor/work on leadership
The club should mandate that he has Cooper by his side at all times.L.Hodge has an offer to return as a part time mentor/work on leadership

The thing for me is that they are adding eight new players to a list that has Taranto and Balta and not much else and that just won the spoon; they had no member of the AA squad, let alone team; no members in the under 22 team; not even a member in Robbo's top 50. To make a bad situation worse, three of their top 6 in the B&F just left, and the other three are all 31 and over next year. Lynch and Prestia and coming to the end, too. I don't think they could do anything else other than grab this opportunity but they are starting from a long way back. It will be really interesting to see how they go.This exactly. Going to have a team of B graders. Ain't winning a flag.
They are going to be worse than North/WCE in recent years IMO. Their players over 25 next year are:
32 - Prestia (no hammies)
32 - Lynch (cooked and a flog)
32 - Broad
32 - McIntosh
32 - Vlaustin
31 - Nankervis
30 - Short
28 - Hopper
27 - Taranto
25 - Balta
They will be even worse in 2026, even though they have talented young kids. The genuine concern is their development when in two years most of the good senior players are gone.
Seems like an arrogant prick, just like he came across as a player. Has got an easy job at Geedroit aswell, just offering out under the table deals. The land has to run out eventually. What exactly makes Mackie one of the best list managers?
Absolutely no chance he leaves beautiful Brisbane for this hell hole called Melbun. None

I think they'll trade 14 for swans 19+22.And, as already mentioned, it will be hilarious if we somehow get our pick 14 back for less than a f1 + f2.
Id do it just for the shits and giggles

Tiggers can’t afford to fluck this draft up
(Tambling, Meyer, Pattison, Polo 2004 vibes)
We should help them and take some picks off their hands
Barrass in a brown and gold jumper shortly.
I don't mind their strategy. Our goal was to hit the draft over 3 years with 7-9 top 30 picks. They'll essentially do the same in one off season. They'll stink for a few years but will have the lure to potentially trade and top up when the time is right. Not sure about Yze though. They are 18th and were going nowhere with what they had after Hardwick screwed them and left. That's a super draft hand. Yes, they might miss with some picks but in a good draft that's as good a rebuilding springboard as you can get, noting they will certainly finish bottom 4 again and get another high pick next year, at the very least. They got overs for all three departing players.
