Day will be a wasted senior list spot unfortunately

No one expects that. He's a break glass if needed backup. And most likely a 1 year rental.

I don't expect him to start in the best 22 at the beginning of the season.

If he ends up in our best 22, it's because Ryan's not up to it. Nor is Henry Smith. And Fagan really wants to play 2 genuine tall forwards and Morris.

Quite willing to wait and see who that is that's expecting that. I'm betting it's actually no one.

Day is a cheap and experienced player in a high demand area we had little depth and then suddenly had even less mature depth. He may not even get a game next year depending on game plan and injuries - but the same will likely be true of Gallop and whoever we look at with what would've been our last pick in the 60s or whenever.

Well gee, I expected him to take the heat off Hipwood, start every game, win the Coleman and the Norm Smith, swim across the Bass Strait, create peace in the Middle East and colonise Mars. I'm sad to hear you don't share my optimism.
