Brown isn't bad eitherAnd Idun..
He’d be smart to leave. Loyalty is good and all but sometimes you have to be aware of the landscape and realise you’re better off elsewhere.
They do have a deep list, but will be tested this trade period

Reports were he wanted to stay at the Giants - just cannot see how he gets a game ahead of Taylor/Buckley/Himmelberg
Arguably the best lock down small defender in the competition - hard to see us being able to afford what other clubs would pay him
One of those names is not the same as the others…Weitering, Charlie, Harry, Walsh, TDK, Cripps and Williams, are all on the top 100 paid players list…
Now do Charlie...Check out his last game. Needs mongrel not a meek KPF. Misses far too many easy goals because he’s fretting. Needs to address both or be paid Mihocek wage.
Oh my bad I thought they were talking about Idun - my faultI don’t think for Aleer it would all be about money. He’s not getting a game any time soon if Taylor, Buckley, Idun, Himmelberg stay fit. He and his manager would know that. If he came to us he’d be in a contending team, good facilities, and a walk up start to partner Weitering. He’s a nice height (194cm). He’s athletic with a big leap. Deceptively strong too. He’s exactly the right guy to team up with Weiters I reckon. We don’t need a gorilla. We need a mobile and strong tall that complements Weiters and there aren’t many of them. He’s the perfect fit. Weitering would become an AA lock if he could have the freedom to intercept more.
Apologies, thought the poster was talking about Idun. Clearly I don't think Aleer is the best lock down small defender in the comp lolArguably the best lock down small defender in the competition - hard to see us being able to afford what other clubs would pay him

That's not what you'd call a great sales pitch.....We need to get into his ear... but I wouldn't want us "guaranteeing" him a game... that's a recipe for disaster. He needs to know he's competing for a spot with Young and whoever else we recruit as a KPD.
That's not what you'd call a great sales pitch.....
Yeh I misread it completely hahaOh nah I said ‘and Idun’ in the sense that he’s another that Aleer isn’t getting a game in front of, not that we should chase him.
List is below, some have more some have less, interesting that Houston doesn’t make the list…That's 7 players, 6 of whom deserve to be there plus Williams.
On average each side would have 5-6 players on the top 100 paid players list.
Then you don't pursue him.Depends on the type of player he is...
What if he's a competitor that likes to be challenged? By some reports he wants to see out his contract at the Giants so that suggests that maybe he is that type of player who wants to earn their spot...
Otherwise you end up with another Zac Fisher...

Then you don't pursue him.
There'd be plenty of clubs asking the question who would guarantee a regular game. If he's fighting for a spot in the side, he's better off just staying where he is, or choosing a club where he'd get a regular gig.
Harry had a terrific year. Will be top 5 in our B&F.Now do Charlie...
Somehow H is becoming underrated.
Don't you think Alir would have a better effect on our performance than Houston? + younger+ less salary+ less trade value.Brown isn't bad either
They do have a deep list, but will be tested this trade period
That 6 year contract he signed only a few weeks ago would make it very hardMaybe we get lucky and Kingsley tears shreds off Daniels which motivates him to leave. Wishful thinking I know.

Geez I hope your info is correct. For mine the best KPD prospect in the draft, bar none. If you look back I have mentioned him a few times. December birthday, so massive upside, was in the AA team after the carnival.Apparently we've had a few meetings with a kid called Clancy Dennis from WA.
Not sure where he'll end up in the draft but is a KPD by trade so clearly the list teams having a look at filling that position too
So Houston not on the list, no where near 950K
Houston signed his contract in 2022 before the dual AA’s and the new tv deal. Likely on 600k per year which was above the average at the time.
Probably a large reason why he’s looking to move and re-negotiate his contract. Bit stiff for himself the timing of when he signed but worked out great for Port.
