Where's that flogging dead horse gif?
It's too exciting, I can't let it go. I'll give up on Kozzie this year when any of:
A) Baker picks up
B) Warner asks for a trade
C) Week 1 of trade period ends with no mention of him.

I think you're going to stay aroused for some time then

1) I like Baker but I think he likes WC. Genuine question - have you heard anything different?
2) I'm just assuming Warner is being worked on hard for next year's trade period, it makes most sense
3) There's always talk in week 1 of trade period. Talk is what it's designed for. If it was really about trading hte whole thing would be over in three hours

There you go, cheaper than Viagra too :)

I want to like Emmett but he’s just so poor. They may keep him, but I don’t see why.

He missed a handball by 2m yesterday and rarely does anything offensively with polish.

Even the handball he did nail to Simpson he was falling over, lost his balance and flung it out.

His type is a potentially great fit, but anything he provides defensively is countered by his horrendous offensive ability.

The funniest one was against Claremont in the 1st Semi.

The ball was kicked forwards by Peel to a Claremont tall defender but Voss got there late to contest a certain mark and knocked the ball boundary side. Initially the ball looked it was heading out of bounds and Emmett was following up the play, but suddenly the ball just bobbed reverse and Voss put his arms out to shepherd to give Emmett a clear path - so Emmett goes flat out to the boundary, like he only knows one way and you can see him put the extra yards in, and as just as he grabs the ball he trips and falls face first over the boundary line like he's putting in a rugby try.

It's the stuff of cult figures.

The Baker stuff is bizarre. We'll never know the full story but i swear people were convinced Freo was locked several months ago the it's changed to undecided and remained that way since. I've never seen a WA player coming back and not have everyone basically know which team he's going to, even more so this late in the year.

It genuinely seems like it's a WC coach thing where completely speculating, they either need the tick off from the new coach to bring him in (it's a stupid trade IMO), they have him locked in and want the extra media buzz of Baker picking them and onboard with the coach or he genuinely wants to see who it is first.

I personally still think one of Warner or Pickett is a chance to at least request a trade this year so wouldn't be surprised if he's our 2nd choice as well.

Basically I have a whole heap of nothing haha sorry.

Quote from an Article on SEN:
“Their (Geelong’s) interest in Jack Martin is very real. I can tell you this morning that Jack Martin’s interest in Geelong is very real.

He’s a delisted free agent so he can just get there if he wants to. He doesn’t want to leave Victoria.”

Bloody footy journos with their “I can tell you…” rubbish. They all do it.

Well I can tell you that most footy journos are w***ers who add this little bit of mayo to make it sound like they’ve got some earth-shattering secret scoop. They don’t. Bunch of plonkers.

Tom Morris that is. He has generated a lot of stories so far which have got into the media cycle and he gets to boost his own stories with appearances on radio here, and on the various Channel 9 football shows, one of which he hosts.

Throw enough darts and you'll get one right.

Absolutely - walking away has to always still be an option - well the other side has to at least believe it’s still an option for us

With regards to the bolded , try telling that to the tigers supporters on here

But as long as walls and co don’t think like that then we should be fine

We’ve F’d it up already ….. the only word coming from Freo since the last game of the year should have been how excited we are about this draft

Other clubs probably hold the door open for us and tell us they’ve saved us a seat when trade week rolls around

Can't like this post enough. Noticed it a long time ago and one of the reasons I can't stomach watching any of their shows, Morris (I thought they'd managed to ex-communicate that dickdonk, but no...) is one of the more sanctimonious and self-indulgent of this mold (or should that be mould..?!).

Too much industry psychobabble geared to making a sport some kind of life-altering event (keep the coffers rolling) that will make you trip the light fantastic!!! Load of tripe, the whole damn industry

There's playing the game and then there's just spouting obvious, see-through bs. I think what you're suggesting falls in the latter camp.

For example, we got more than we should've for Lobb coz we played the game, and it was a believable one. But some teams last season I remember spouting some absolute bs about how they're hoping to keep players/keeping that option open...who were out of contract and requested a trade. That's just laughable nonsense.

Shai Bolton in Tigers 2 wins had 2 votes and 2 votes…

Considering he was getting phased slowly out of the team in the back half of the season, I'd be amazed if Son Son was a walk up start in the best 22 in 2025. Fyfe on the other hand should start in the team, and it will be up to Noddy, Johnno, Erasmus and Brodie to knock the door down.
