It worked in his first season. Got a kick nearly every game from jt
Did you watch him play today? The umpires are wise to it. No more head-high frees for Ginnivan unless his head pops off and rolls across the oval. Even then it would still be 50/50.

Imagine an off season of McDonald , baker , yeo and still taking a first rounder .
That would go a long way to fixing our depth issues for sure (obviously improving the 22 while we are at it)

I think our loss of depth over the past couple years has been pretty bad for a list that is looking to challenge, obviously we are currently developing some depth but if we could fast track the rebuild a bit now while Fyfe/Sonny are here then I'm on board.

Yeah I’d say we’re definitely at the stage and have the capital to go all in for a flag now and the club needs to have the balls to do it.

Stacking up all of these first rounders this year gives every indication that they do.

Thought I’d post this here as Freo are mentioned.

800K and a late first for Baker if you believe Ralphy

If being a Colin Young mouth piece wasn’t hard enough to listen to, his bias towards Richmond is just as bad if not worse.

As for Baker, I’m told he’s not leaving Richmond and isn’t looking to return home to Perth to play footy. The new home he purchased at the start of the year was just an upgrade as he sold his other property in the last two weeks.

Big fan of Baker, but no loss that Freo won’t trade him in.

Can’t see Warner coming to Freo now his brother is getting a game. Both contracted for next year and unlikely we can get both when dealing with Sydney.
There’s another one at East Freo, Ashton Warner. Meant to be the best of the brothers and made his colts debut earlier than the other two. The sharks always seem to develop well, a lot of young guns in the colts this year. Luke Urquhart probably the best of the lot for mine. Big watch for WA.

Provided we play finals this year if we were to pull that off I don’t think we d be going under the radar of even the most biased VFL media going into 25’

Oh yeah was thinking this is exactly what would happen no matter where he goes. (If he were to leave)

The ol’ AFL “When it’s a PP but not really a PP”
McDonald is a must imo. Yeo looking to top up his super. Freo had their chance when he was stuck in the NEAFL. He was a gun then but is just another chase down away from another injury.

With all this talk about the Brisbane fallout, is Charlie Cameron a possibility? OOC 2025 and I know he looks out of sorts the start of this year but he would be a big asset to have in the forward line given Walters in his last year next season.

I’m a fan of Yeo if his body holds up this year he is all class when fit.he adds depth and class hopefully heading forward to a sustained run at finals One thing about our forward line. I watched yesterdays peel game delean I think is sonnys replacement in the next few years and will show it by the end of the year he’s a blond haired ballas lots of mongrel and a wicked side step . Simpson different runner but so highly skilled. The 2 of them are going to tear up for peel this year , but hopefully learn team first ( my only critique off one game ) these kids are going to be guns and Murphy did a few good things
All of Simpson, Murphy and Delean were classic sliders based on predraft speculation. Sonny our most famous slider.

If they come off and produce what triggered the predraft speculation there is massive upside.

Positionally they are also astute. Delean clearly an area of need. Simpson bringing pace and class. Murphy a Pearce replacement.

Charlie Cameron has been decidedly average for the better part of 1.5 years. He sits deep like a FF, doesn’t chase very hard and often misses easy shots. Pass.

Look a lot of players are trying to milk free kick or two but what Ginnivan was doing in todays game is radiculos...
Agree. It’s the same move. Lower, tilt then lift the arm, throw the head back. He has added the hold onto their arm trick too. Darling does this frequently in marking contests.

There was one hilarious one where he picked up the ball near the boundary and just flung himself forwards with his head leading the way trying to draw it but the opposing player just left him and made him look like a complete goose.

All that said I think there was definitely one where he legit just got smashed high, but his own precedent makes it near impossible for the umpires to give him anything.

He’s not the only one who does it, but he’s the one who attempts it EVERY play.

Ashton is mates with my God son - he a gun…

If Brodie is behind the current team and Erasmus we'd be better off with Yeo on our list imo. Realistically Brodie isn't getting a look in until Fyfe and JOM retire and even then he might still be outside the best 22.

Yeo would probably be best 22 somewhere whilst also providing depth for the inside mid role.

We'd have 2-3 years to develop someone else and with the draft picks we have recruiting that player shouldn't be too much of a challenge for Walls and co.

Pick Yeo as FA and then trade Brodie to Eagles for third round pick. Eagles will get likely second round compo for Yeo.

I’d want a serious Medical assessment done because don’t want Yeo if his injuries aren’t behind him.

Erasmus stays and I’d expect him to be playing more regularly as the year goes.

We shouldn't be paying yeo anywhere near enough for a 2nd round pick tbh

31 next year and I jury prone his last 4 or so years

I'm fine to grab him if he gets thru the season but if the price is too high then don't bother with it
