AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
I was agreeing that you were right and I was wrong, I was looking at the last four years of which only one was a flag season - I honestly didn't think they'd been on the slide THAT long.
I wasn't being passive aggressive.
Sorry, but the Jordan Dawson case completely counters your argument.but you know Swans will never settle for a single first rounder, right?
in their eyes theyt've declared him Buddy 2.0 (lol, no) and they will extract from whomever tries to draw him. so far, not done a thing to show he's worth more than a single first rounder.
and to the people who were comparing his goals to JUH, it's not about him not scoring much more than Logan McD, but JUH actually clunks marks/divides contest, is useful off the ball. i don't see that in Logan, not yet anyway. my opinion may be completely different by R12.
i think the losing players to 'homesickness' or 'partner influence' or 'the fashion industry' (heh) has us all gun-shy about our trading and over-focused on WA talent specifically, however unproven.
Could be argued he is another JOM, as at the end of 2024 he might be slightly past his best (still handy i grant you but not a first round trade)You're right, drafted 2017.
2020 - 6th
2021 - 2nd
2022 - 4th
2023 - 6th
Thanks for that.
You can have Logan + p19 and we'll take Amiss and the net gain. Logan is what he is, an ok second tall. Lost hope in his hype he just doesn't look like it.i rate JUH miles above McDonald.
i still have no idea why we're all so turgid for McDonald. yes, it's only one game but he showed f all in OR.
when did a guy who kicked 32.17 last season - so not even as good as Amiss/what we have - suddenly become the messiah?
Assuming we have about one million in cap space, Macca would take most of that space up so could we even afford Warner? Both Chad and Corey are contracted until end of 2025. Gulden and McDonald out of contract end of 2024.
I think you’re right about McDonald, there’s no way you’re getting Amiss though, how about we give you pick in the teens for Logan, you bundle it, your 1st and 19 for JUH and we can all claim we shafted the bulldogs. You can have Logan + p19 and we'll take Amiss and the net gain. You would need to include gulden and Chad Warner before we even thought about parting with Amiss! You can have Logan + p19 and we'll take Amiss and the net gain. Logan is what he is, an ok second tall. Lost hope in his hype he just doesn't look like it.
No current season stats available
Contracted Chad Warner for a late 1st rounder is slightly optimisticSo based on Xavier Ellis intel, believes we are into one or more of the below players I.e East Fremantle players on AFL list are below (including 3 currently on dockers list)
Gees would take either of Warner, Rivers for late 1st rounder. Take Zurhaar as a FA bring the whole gang back together
Teakle, Joyce and Ruscoe aren’t on an AFL list??So based on Xavier Ellis intel, believes we are into one or more of the below players I.e East Fremantle players on AFL list are below (including 3 currently on dockers list)

Corey Warner would be a good buddy for Corey Wagner
Like how we gave Carlton Banfield instead of Cerra?Trade them ... maybe Sydney won't notice
If you can explain to me who's delivering to him, I'd love to believe this? That’s as much chance as me winning the Coleman.
Reckon Amiss is a serious chance of 60 goals this year
He will now be a target of oppo teams. I doubt he kicks more than 40 unless a couple of others step up. He is still a couple of seasons away from full tilt. Happy to be wrong thoughIf you can explain to me who's delivering to him, I'd love to believe this?
More like 45-50. I'd put money on that.
If he kicks 60+ I'll happily eat these words. I'm an evidence-based optimist and I haven't seen the ball movement/transition that makes 60 from Amiss possible.
yet. dying for the boys to prove me wrong.
he was basically our sole KPF all of last year, not like he was going under the radar of oppos then, genuinely against the best KPDs week in week out not sure what makes you think hes only now going to be a 'target' of opposition? hes now a year older and bigger and more experienced, hes kicking 50 at leastHe will now be a target of oppo teams. Whilst I'd lover for him to prove us all wrong, I think he'll hover around the 45 goals mark. I'm hoping for more goals from Jackson/Treacy to bump our total goals up personally.he was basically our sole KPF all of last year, not like he was going under the radar of oppos then, genuinely against the best KPDs week in week out not sure what makes you think hes only now going to be a 'target' of opposition? hes now a year older and bigger and more experienced, hes kicking 50 at least
presuming our midfield improves like i expect it to with young + fyfe adding some grunt, amiss will get more looks at it and with his talent hell make the most of it. whether its a contested mark or a crumb snap at goal the kids got it all, no limits for himWhilst I'd lover for him to prove us all wrong, I think he'll hover around the 45 goals mark. Nick Larkey did it for North last year.If you can explain to me who's delivering to him, I'd love to believe this?

Nah, stuff that. I'm expecting him to go full Jezz Cameron and kick 60 in his 3rd season. Not expecting linear improvement from Amiss tbh.
Look at the excitement and/or expected trade values of McDonald and JUH who scored just over 30 goals in their third seasons.
What Amiss has done so far is massive. Even staying at the same level for 2-3 more seasons would be a great result.
He’s nowhere near his peak in terms of age and if we’re getting higher tallies from him in five years that’s probably what you can expect but maybe right now it’s a bit early to expect that imo.
