I know people are desperate but I think we need to temper our expectations when it comes to any KPF prospects taken in our selection range.

Sure it's not impossible to find the next Nick Larkey but if you were to count up all the KPF prospects taken outside say the top 15 over the last decade we'd see how improbable it is to find such a diamond in the rough.

As it is it was sheer dumb luck more than excellent recruitment and we know this because in no way would any recruiter risk 72 selections taking place before calling his name if they knew what they had in Larkey.

In reality we probably stand a better chance of landing a decent KPD in our range more than a KPF.

It's been a couple of years since I've updated my deep dive on the recruitment history of Hine (who I'm a fan of) but our success rate when it comes to the 3rd round wasn't great reading if I recall (though pretty much on par with 2nd). How it compares to other recruiters I do not know.

List was originally compiled up until the 2022 mid season rookie draft .

You can't be serious listing Travis Cloke in that bracket when he was rated in top 5 if open draft.

T.Cloke was being hyped so far in advance of when we recruited Jason...

But other then that good post.
