“We had several KPP options, but in the end we couldn’t look past [insert vanilla half back flank here] at our pick, as he was really high on our draft board. We felt his lack of exposure to elite pathways, late birthday, and basketball background were just too good to pass up.”

They had him more commonly linked to Melbourne. But you might be on the right path.I think we were linked to Lachie Voss in the mid season draft.
Hine has served admirably, it doesn't hurt to have a fresh voice leading the drafting department.Sounds like Hine.
Though I heard this is his Final Draft at Collingwood
I think Leppa will have an influence on who we pick in this draft. I'm hoping so anyway.Sounds like Hine.

The only way that would happen would be if another team drafts one of them. We're not going to do that. It's not a consideration. AJ and Markov are getting picked up in the rookie draft no matter what. Clubs don't do that to players when they've committed to rookie-listing the players. Absolutely 0% chance of Collingwood going back on their word.
Maybe especially on what he thinks of potential tallsI think Leppa will have an influence on who we pick in this draft. I'm hoping so anyway.
How about tallish? We have to at least take 1 Tall
Norm hails from there. Is ed allan the only WA boy on our list ?
Bobby Hill, Darcy Cameron and Ash Johnson. Is ed allan the only WA boy on our list ?

It’s been his final draft for the last 5 or 6 years hasn’t it?Sounds like Hine.

I hope I'm in 10 years we're still here laughing about this same stuff!“We had several KPP options, but in the end we couldn’t look past [insert vanilla half back flank here] at our pick, as he was really high on our draft board. I hope we get a player that plays 150+ games. You take best available. No point selecting players based on position if you think they are no good.Hope we get him + a key back and fwd.
