How many players in the draft crop are of African descent? I'm excited for the annual spiel from Kevin Sheahan about how they're "very athletic" and remind him of Aliir Aliir.

I'm kind of envious of Richmond.

Sure, they'll be crap for the next few years obviously but at least they know where they stand in terms of their list and they have traded out players and bottomed out in a year the draft is rated so highly.

With the inclusion of Tasmania not far away they've started the rebuild just in time.

No Certainty they become with so many Picks

No Guarantee they make it

Just on the "will our team actually attend tonight" I would assume they'd be running a lot of hypotheticals in the box even without doing anything.

I seem to recall the Stephenson draft, which was before live trading, Hine said they'd discussed the fact if they'd had live trading at the time we would've traded a pick in/up to get Nathan Murphy.

Obviously given that we got Murphy anyway means we would've wasted a pick we didn't need to throw away!

Remember the last time they had this many first rounders? They missed Buddy, Roughead and Lewis and got Deledio, Tambling, Meyer, Pattison, Polo and McGuane, and Deledio was the only player that had any sort of a good career, and they were still bad for nearly another decade.

If all these picks become good players, then they've done well, but history tells us not all of them will be usperstars

It makes no sense to me why someone wouldn't bid on Ben Camporeale prior to Carlton's pick 38.

His resume looks very good, his dad was a classy player, he appears worthy of an early 2nd round bid, so what's the knock on him?
