List Mgmt. 2024 National Draft - November 20-21

just quietly, I did say a month ago that in a draft this even there were going to be some wildly varying draft boards, and that’s proven to be true.

I’m pretty certain that there’s going to be several players available at our first pick that certain unnamed posters wrote off as no chance to get to us that will be available.

And we’ll overlook all of them for the next Brayden Sier. No draft profile ftw.

Dont think the North trade is bad as everyone thinks tbh. North probably improve a bit next season, Richmond will almost guaranteed be last again with all the experience they lost. That second round pick will be pick 19-22 (after matching bids). North will be around the pick 3-6 mark (I’d say 6), they’ve dropped back 13-14 spots worst case imo and got a player who would probably go top 10-20 in next years draft in Whitlock at pick 27 tonight.

Not horrible imo.

And now we wait til tomorrow to make sense of the trade we did with the lions

Might be just we did a Trade as a Favor but I hope there is more to it

Going to be a Nervous 24 Hours for me

13-14 spots before bids? You’re talking about giving away a potential top 5 pick for 27 and another pick that’s going to likely end up in the late 20’s again. That’s not good business.

Just wanted to say it was a pleasure viewing the draft tonight with the company of all users on this board.
Stop being so nice, I wanna see some shade thrown about.

That’s not particularly great. Will be another late 20’s pick.
I reckon the Roos rate Matt Whitlock as a top 10 pick in a normal draft. Not crazy. With strong runners in this draft clubs just aren't risking the tall options.

Roos have so many talented mids, an early pick next year doesn't do much for em as most early picks are mids. They'd probably reach for a tall. Instead they get that tall a year earlier.

That doesn't happen, not unless you get something out of it, so we'll see
We’re not getting anything out of it. No idea why we agreed to it under the circumstances now.

This is worse imo.
I don't think it was. We got a couple of really speulative kids in the most speculative draft ever. They got a rated player and they'll end up with a good pick next year. With the new DVI, North and Richmond's seconds next year will hold a lot of points and probably get them one of the best first rounders held by a team who needs to match a gun.
