Is anyone else terrified we're actually going to draft Tauru at 2 or 4 (if we get crows pick)? Had a deeper dive into his actual performances this year and they're average for the most part. He didn't make the All Aus team. The under ager Duursma had more impressive stats in many games for Gippsland Power. Tauru was literally projected around pick 15-25 a month ago before the combine and media hype train.

People say Tauru fills a need but does he even? An undersized key back that has below average kicking. We have Combden filling that third back role and Logue and Corr are the bulls. If we are set on Combden going forward, it makes sense but I actually like the look of Trainor better in that role. Much better kicking and we won't need to reach for him if we trade back in the teens

Ultimately, I think we're stuck at an early pick and just need to go best talent available with another mid. FOS, Langford, Lalor all showed they can adapt in other possies

I like the sound of this Combden chap, but lets face it, he'll never be Herman Pernorkel.

Could nab trainor and the 3rd best key forward
2nd best, probably.

I'd do that but like King Hansen says, I doubt Richmond will.

They'll get plenty of F1 offers for just pick 11 I reckon.

In any case, I agree if we could somehow get Armstrong and Trainor its worth it, irrespective of which picks they are.

I’d like one of those Hitler Downfall videos please, where he’s in the North Melbourne room at Marvel on draft night, and he’s just traded in his f1 for Pernorkel, without realising he’s part of the Essendon NGA.

Excuse Richmond Intrusion. I’m not here to debate any possible trade scenarios because it’s difficult debating the value of picks.

Until Lalor was identified as the likely pick 1. FOS was being touted as the player most likely. I was not happy with this because his low possession numbers concerned me. I’ve seen him live 2 times and he certainly has flair and impact and I saw him as an outside player, possibly HFF part time mid. I’m not sure if there is a better option at pick 2 but would be interested in where you see him in your team. Besides Lalor are there others you’d prefer? I personally wanted Jagga at the Tigers.

Most here think Herman Pernorkel and Finn O’Sullivan are the two standouts in this draft though conjecture centres around which of the two we will take. ‘Purple’ tested poorly at the Combine.

I’ll take that as your happy with FOS.

Given our top pick in each of the previous two drafts have started the year off half back, it would seem a logical extension for FOS to do the same.

Long term the thought around These parts is that Kerch and FOS run the wings for the next 10 years or so.

The perfect replacement for Harry, with his athletic abilities and a good pre-season behind him half back flank would be my position for him.
