Does that article actually mention a trade involving our F1? I read it and couldn't see anything.
Just that our future hand is on the table and some clubs might find it attractive.

Ralphy’s usual click bait. Only noteworthy thing from the article is Viney saying “we think something will unfold”.

Allegedly Carlton have been to see Draper, so who knows.

One learned gent here says Finn is our man, another says we're into Draper.

So welcome aboard Jagga?

Carlton trying to get Crows into panic mode in the hope they trade up and take Draper.

Would mean FOS is available at pick 3 for the BLUUUUZ as we would be pick 4 and likely to have taken FOS.

Just got around to watching Draper's highlights on YouTube.

Really liked what I saw.

But the SA thing still bugs me for obvious reasons.

Take him and he's available to the Power for '27, '28 & '29 Round 1 & 2 Selections for Draper and our '27, '28 & '29 Round 3's & 4's - should we start the thread already?

I don't like the mention of Hardeman playing wing. He is the perfect long term HB flank. We need to leave young players to develop in their best positions and not throw the magnets around so much
He can most definitely play wing. 'Hardeman spent a lot of his time as a junior playing on the wing before moving to hbf".

Yeah bidding on Ashcroft at 2 would give us more time on the clock to negotiate as well....ie/ take the full time allocation to put the bid in, and then the clock resets. AFL will love the drama.
You could then Bid on Lombard & Kako as their clubs will 100% match
gives North 20 minutes to get the deal done

Lol don't think we'd need to do that, the broadcast will want to interview Ashcroft for a couple of minutes anyway because it's big for the Northern state markets. Most of it would be theatrics for the broadcast if it gets "dragged out".
The deals would have been discussed before hand so it's likely a quick phone call to whatever team to lock it in if a deal happens. Will be interesting to see if anything happens.

It would also put us into the lead as the biddingest club in the league.

So, did we ever get to the bottom of who was our power-weilding recruiter who had a fascination with Queensland?

3 successful bids of academy talent... all on spuds from Queensland!

It wasn't the current Gold Coast Suns women's coach, was it?

The Tigers could be interested in moving up to pick two but not in a deal that sees them give up two top 12 selections for that pick alone.

The gaslighting done by the media on this is nothing short of incredible. 2 for 6&10 is a win for the tigers, 2 for 10&11 would be outright robbery, yet in both of these scenarios somehow WE are the ones not offering enough?

I don't care how "even" this draft apparently is, the narrative that PICK TWO is not worth a pair of picks outside the top 5 is lunacy.

It sounds like the club rate Alix Tauru and our future first at roughly equal value.

Where draft night could get interesting is if Tauru starts dropping. Clubs in the 8-12 range would be heavily tempted by our future first if we offered it in a straight swap so that we could select Tauru.

I bloody hope not

Let’s blame luff like with everything else

Bidding on other clubs academy/father-son prospects in the later rounds looks like historically bad drafting strategy, Josh Dunkley the only selection that didn't bust out.
Yep. Dunkley stands out as the exception that proves the rule. History shows that you don't win if your bid is successful. This makes sense though. If the club who you have been training with don't rate you enough to match, then nobody else should either.

Have they issued the directive on Smillie pronunciation? That's going to take a while to filter through to the boofheads in commentary.

I wondered when that was coming in... a mate of mine is close with his dad and has always insisted it's Milly with an s infront
