Aints and tuggers are the only clubs I’d be happy trading down with.
All other clubs picks are to far away or they haven’t got enough assets to interest us
I don’t think any team will try and reduce the amount of their first round picks except for the tiges.

I only see saints sliding 1 pick up and the other down, and that doesn’t help us. Same goes for the Dee’s.

Tigers will be trying to offload at least 1 to 3 of their picks for f1’s. And it’s 0% chance its pick 1, 5% chance pick 6, and some chance it’s one of 10 or 11.

We have our work cut out for us getting 2 quality 1st round picks. I think we will be paying way overs to get it done.

Have we any interest in this Langford kid that you're aware of?

Well, I'm sure we're interested, but "pointy end" interest?

Things have tightened up, not much if anything, is being whispered about, especially from our end, which I really like!

As a side note, the people I've had chats with, don't think we're into "The Viking", so we're either throwing red herrings out and about...... or we're all over him like bird shit on a Port Power "gifted" MG

We'll soon find out! :thumbsu:

I've heard some rumours Langford isn't impressing as much as he could be in some club interviews if you catch my drift.

Heaps of fun had to edit my post...that joke flew way over my head. Nice work...:grinning:

Obviously not yet. Just heard that we are putting a fair bit of work into a few of the talls who we think will be available beyond that pick 25-30. Mraz and Faull are the two names that I've heard of recently.

Watch his latest vid……personally think he suits us the most out of all the top prospects. But I do like things about all of Lalor, FOS, Draper and Langford.

I think he'll do his best work at AFL level as a coal face ball winner once he fully fills out and matures.

With Wardlaw and LDU being primary contested ball winners, do we need another? His height is a real point of difference and I love the way he goes about it, but I think we need to make sure we get the balance right.

With that in mind would we be better suited getting a player who is more of a receiver/distributor (FOS) or someone who can rotate between midfield/forward/defence (Lalor) or a player with a bit more speed (Draper).

Langford is the one that could really shape draft night. One club outside the top 10 has him in the top 3, while there are a few other clubs that don't quite have him in that top tier due to his speed.

fair call.......i just love how quickly the ball moves when he has it.....could learn a truckload off Parker and be ready to be the centre square beast who can push forward for years. Could see him swapping with Dursma for next 10 years

For sure. He is a zone breaker.

I think his versatility is a little bit underrated too. Can play forward, wing, half back and obviously through the middle. Genuine understanding of the game and how to stay involved.

Funny you say Faull. Zero Hanger's latest mock draft has us trading with Richmond and taking Tauru and Faull. 2 for 6 and 18 which becomes 7 and 22.

7. Pick 7 - North Melbourne (Traded from Richmond): Alixzander Tauru

Tauru's 1st Mock Draft Selection: Richmond (Pick 13)
Position: Defender-Forward
Height:
193cm
State: Victoria
Club: Warragul Industrials
The first of two opening-round selections the Kangaroos secured in our live trade with Richmond, with North Melbourne heavily reported to be keen on Gippsland defender Alix Tauru.
The Roos have looked to top up their midfield early into the draft time and time again across the past decade, with 2024 presenting a chance to add to their key position stocks for the future.
Tauru is a genuine bolter this year, coming from the clouds to have a prolific year as an intercepting defender before also flexing his nous as an attacking target - two areas the Roos will be keen to bolster.

22. Pick 22 - North Melbourne (Traded from Richmond): Jonty Faull

Faull's 1st Mock Draft Selection: Richmond (Pick 24)
Position: Key Forward
Height:
195cm
State: Victoria
Club: Redan
The second selection the Roos received in our projected trade deal with Richmond, with North Melbourne able to add to their key forward ranks after taking Gippsland defender Alix Tauru earlier in the count.
Faull is among several tall forwards likely available in this range of the first round, with the trade expected to give the Kangaroos access to at least one exciting target who can mix with Nick Larkey and Zane Duursma in the near future.
Faull managed to overcome a back injury in the first half of the year to be one of the more dominant forwards in the Talent League this season, showing off his marking abilities and strong hands for the GWV Rebels as well as Vic Country at the national carnival.

We're either tighter than a duck's arse with mail or completely transparent with our Viking affections.

As long as they're good it doesn't really matter in the end.
