Yet another key defender?Like rumblings from earlier in the year, I've heard that we put a bit more time into Noah Mraz in recent weeks.
Yeah but 2 things play into that.Supposedly.
I was just talking purely on best value for pick 2.
The slide back to 4 with Adelaide on the face of it, with their current picks is shit.
Yeah but 2 things play into that.
1. However this Tauru stuff got leaked it’s hurt your ability to hold out for better assets as now Melbourne are boxing you in and Carlton have no interest in moving. So it’s P2 or Adelaide - The player himself is now apparently a top 5 lock either way
2. The talent is great in this draft. But there isn’t the elite talent of a Reid or Naicos and thus no one wants to sell the farm to get up and are happy to stay put.
And yes I get you can just take a mid. But it’s been weeks of this Tauru crap. It’s clear that he is who you want
Sure.It is not clear he is who we want. The media are just assuming it. How would they have seen our draft board? Answer is they haven’t.
6 and 11 for 4 (Pick 17 points difference). GWS had a real need to move up the order though to pay that premium.GWS traded Pick 6 & F1 for Adelaide's Pick 4 to get ahead of the Tom Green bid.
Why put ourselves behind Carlton for a future pick which is in the carpark.Out Pick 2
In: Pick 4 and F2 (currently Pick 40)
That's not enough.
Regardless of who the player is, it seems increasingly obvious that the player we are likely to take at 2 will be available at 4. If we’re set on taking said player (whether people agree on the player or not) any asset we pick up by sliding back is a bonus. A F2 seems worthwhile, particularly if it allows us to get back into the top 30 of this years draft.Sure.
Or the fact the link has been strong since before trade period tends to point to the fact your deadset on this kid

If that deal was to go ahead would you, via a pre-arranged pick swap by Brady and another club consider exchanging our F1 and that hypothetical F2 for another top 10 pick in this year’s draft? Or is that too much?Out Pick 2
In: Pick 4 and F2 (currently Pick 40)

I think you’re spot on.Regardless of who the player is, it seems increasingly obvious that the player we are likely to take at 2 will be available at 4. I know many on here won’t be happy with that. But your getting the same player with an asset attached.
Similar to us grabbing Wilson by sliding back a pick for a F2 last year.
Yeah and potentially he is the one.And funnily enough based on today’s buzz being frozen for the draft that player that slips to 4 is FOS.
Sure.

Having that F2 allows us to trade our F2 too. If we still have it, I’ve lost track.Regardless of who the player is, it seems increasingly obvious that the player we are likely to take at 2 will be available at 4. We’d be able to trade both F2 and could look to enter the draft in the early 20s perhaps targeting one of GWS’ picks. As was previously suggested in this thread sliding back from 4 again could be a viable option and getting another asset. Plenty of options if we’re willing to be open mindedHaving that F2 allows us to trade our F2 too. If we still have it, I’ve lost track.

Yeah and potentially he is the one.
But isn’t he slipping because of perceived lack of effort/commitment and poor interviews?
(Or the rumour is he is)
Whereas Tauru is projecting as a raw talent who had a massive impact late whilst carrying an undiagnosed back stress fracture and has a sky high potential.
Look mate. I just want Tauru taken and I get one of those mids and I haven’t lost a future first to do soHe won’t slip much further but both have their pros and cons.
Second rounders and future second rounders are like the most toxic form of pass the parcel for North. Just assume we don’t have one in 25, or any other year for that matter.Having that F2 allows us to trade our F2 too. If we still have it, I’ve lost track.
