No chance. I wouldn't be surprised if he features this year.
Just needs to get his fitness up.
I love your optimism but his game sense is worse than any footballer I have ever seen.

For someone that is 8ft tall he is softer than melted butter. Has hands the size of Texas yet he cant mark. Very uncoordinated.

Other than that he was a definite 1st rounder(not).

I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see him making it.

You dont go to the combine if you dont want to try. Whats the ****ing point? If he is getting drafted, there is no pre requisite he must attend. So, he absolutely tried, he’s just not that quick.
If you get invited then you attend
Whilst you may want to get to a team you just don't blatantly snub the AFL and the system

Not too sure if it is actually risky TBH

Kid has class and poise and can clearly play the game at the highest level and shows unbelievable footy i,q and plays a very good foward role. I see him as a very much like a Dunkley type player

Now im sure he knows he will get drafted and his manager would know and tell him that
whats he got to gain by smashing it at the combine if he already know he wont miss out and if the 'Wanting to go to his team thing was correct' He knows Richmond have 1 , 6 , 10 , 11 and they will take him with atleast 1 of these selections
whats the difference if he goes say pick #3 or pick #11

I think he did a 3.23 or something like that in the 20mtr's maybe just maybe he might have got a 3.10 if he tried
which looks more like his speed to the naked eye watching games
Really?? You'd tank interviews with other clubs because your confident you'll get to Richmond?

He's not going at 1
6 is possible, but Smillie not bad player either, plus others could slide

I really hope our game isn't heading down that path......you maybe don't care because you are a big club, but you really want kids manipulating the draft? *If that's what has happened of course. Doesn't sound great to me THE_GUN

I don't think he looks quick in the playing videos, doesn't look Ziebell slow though, as has been suggested.....think he's got fast hands and kicks beautifully and quickly, bit like Bon't.....Bont doesn't have that awkward slow arc, that's super pretty bTW, of left footers.....Langford is a bit like that, similar to Jordon Dawson kicking style

Many players have tanked in the past and its getting even more lately
I dont think many tank as Kavanagh did years ago but they may say things like

" Im really close to my family and never been away from home and love my mates in melbourne"

I actually have heard 1 say he wants to work in his dads business whilst being an AFL player just to stay in melbourne

Who was that? And how's it working out for him?

It was a few years ago that it got mentioned about players not wanting to move interstate
I cant remember which list manager it was but got mentioned on some things that were mentioned regarding players and their intent they didnt say who it was

He basically ran the same time over 20m as he did pre season.

But he massively improved his endurance testing vs pre season.

So no, he didn’t perform poorly on purpose

I think the player manager are manipulating where kids go, 100%....they'll just drop casual hints etc. Pretty average IMO.
The rest of the competition, with the draw etc is all compromised, so I guess it's naive of me to expect anything is actually legit.

Then thats his speed if thats the case
was just really commenting on the post that mentioned he was tanking the interview and suggested perhaps his combine speed may have also been a tad 'unmotivated'

100%

But sometimes i also think its the managers that do that with the kid in mind
If they believe he wouldnt cope well with moving interstate of being away from family etc

Sheezel is a great example , I know his grand parents well and he attends just about all the family events and kid loves his culture and family. He is 1 that would not have been as happy interstate

I think it'll be a trade down to Adelaide to get more capital next year, to still take whoever is left of FOS/Draper/Smith, then trade the F1 & the F2 from the Adelaide deal back into the late single digits/early teens if Tauru is still available.

So North Melbourne fans are the St Edward's Hospital of the footy world. Is that what you call a compassionate society?
No, but the footy world can be a ruthless world and I get it sometimes, more so with what we've been through, but there is no genie in a bottle so we can rub and make our three glorious wishes and everything will be all right, it will come down to hard work, talent, our coaches gelling with the players and helping them get to where we think they should be, understanding our game plan down pat and then executing it and putting it all together.

Why not jagga? The biggest knock on him seems to be a bit like sheezel. Classy accumulator and play maker with excellent disposal. Having those two with wardlaw, ldu and parker busting packs would be huge.

He's still my first preferrence without doubt.
Think the only issue with smith is he’s one positional is what we have covered.
FOS and lalor are of equal quality and better fits

Are you talking about Goad or CCJ?

Both fit the description aptly

On SM-G991B using BigFooty.com mobile app

I dont see superstar. He’d be a tier below an LDU type. The explosiveness isn’t there. Has some good skills, quick decision making, I think what you see at junior level wont be what you see at afl level.

When you look at past top tier mids and they all transferred their assets in junior footy seamlessly to AFL, ya kerches, Reids, Dsicos, Wardlaw Sheeze, etc..

Langford missing that explosive first 3 steps will push him down a rung because I think it’ll be very difficult for him to pull off that contested work as easily in the big league. He will definitely be a handy player though, not sure he’s a top 6 talent.
Yeah he’ll be a consistent player maybe similar to Mitch Duncan.

I'm assuming the matching rules will be the same and just the point value changed. I don't see how attaching a round requirement to it is going to work, but we shall see.
I think it has to be match the points value, starting with a pick in that round (teams could still slide back in that round and gather futures etc.) or match with a future pick in that same round if they can't trade back into that round.
Don't think they can keep having teams bundle up late picks, need to give up decent picks if it was me doing it.

Raise the bloody draft age then so they have a chance to develop some ****ing maturity and appreciation for how the average person lives before they walk into a career earning 6 figures while kicking around a ball for 20 odd weeks out of a year. I know we were the beneficiaries in that case re: Sheezel, but the manipulation of where top draftees end up in a supposedly professional nation-wide competition in a multi-million dollar industry really really shits me.

Please NMFC do not waste pick 2 on Tauru.

We need best available and there's no way he will be that at pick 2.

I prefer Smith, by miles, but I'll be happy with Langford, Lalor or Draper. Or O'Sullivan, even.

I damn well hope the club are not dumb enough to fall for the Tauru media hype. He looks a great prospect, but NOT AT PICK 2.

PLEASE.
Jagga is the one I least want, too similar to Sheez and doesn't offer much point of difference with either a bigger/taller frame, versatility to play other positions and/or speed and defensive intensity.
He'll be a very good player and is classy with his ball use. I just think others give us something we don't have already.
FOS, Lalor, Smillie or Draper is the four I'd look at. Langford don't want, not interested in playing for us.
If we slide back and go talls then try get a couple out of Tauru/Shanahan/J Whitlock/Armstrong/Trainor.
Should be an interesting draft night with what we do.
