AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
dunno about geelong being way too good for anyone
I get what you feel. It's like when your kid does something brilliant but no-one cares.I recognise there's still a long way to go and we are only a few injuries away from being in a completely different position to where we are.
But it just absolutely sh*T's me that the footy world continues to talk up teams like Carlton and Essendon as if they have had seasons so far to compare to us.
And to continue the rant, they talk about all our guns as potentially leaving the club. Warner and McDonald going back to WA. Hayward off to Carlton. Ollie back to Victoria was a whisper. Parker to Norf. Even a good news story of Errol re-signing was twisted around because he didn't sign on for the rest of eternity. Then the non story of Wicks, bring back the death penalty for Parker, our mids kicking too many goals - I just feel there is so much desire there for us to fail.
I so hope we win not just this year's flag but the next 5 at least and stick it up the so called experts.
Rant over......
What do you mean the new rules? The rules haven’t changed, only that umpires have been directed to shorten the 'reasonable time' component of the existing rule. That’s ball under the new rules Miller always had a hand on him. Had 3 pivots and have an opportunity to push the ball out every single time. How is this even controversial it’s HTB every day of the week and twice on Sunday
I do not think we are talking to the same htb callHe’s had prior it’s fairly easy. You have prior get rid of it. Fairly simple if you can’t get it to your own player poor didums it’s still prior. Miller always had hold of him it’s prior

The rule is that where a player fails to correctly dispose of the football upon being tackled by an opponent, within a reasonable time, they will be penalised.
Bombers player incorrectly disposed of the ball but he wasn’t being tackled. Hence the free kick to Miller was a very generous interpretation of the holding the ball rule. So generous it wasn’t recognised as a tackle.
Missed the Demons game due to a very important date with pizza and lots of red wine. What the hell happened there?
Can someone give Brad a rule book please. He seems to be asking about them every week, needs to brush up on them it seems.

To be fair, when they were told they'd be playing on the Gold Coast they misheard it as "Goal Post" and had PTSD going into the game.I see the Bombers have found another way to lose on the siren to a Northern team.
Essington loses another final and the streak continues to bring joy around the country.
