Honestly think there's no way of knowing who will win the flag at this stage. Anyone playing great footy now could be rubbish in a month's time. It's just that kind of season. It'll simply be whoever plays the best in September, so the ladder position, home finals etc. will all be irrelevant.

In that sense I think it was a really bad year to go HAM trying to gain a strong position on the ladder.

I think the ladder position is even more relevant than ever in a season like this.

With all teams going hot and cold you aren’t gonna see a team reel off 4 wins a row to pinch the flag from 5th-8th.

Dogs are looking good, but getting top 4 will be vital for them.
