He's possibly the only viable R/F anyway, and given how many forward premiums are going to be mid only next year he may be worth starting even if Hodor stays there.

Tim English and Marcus Bontempelli.

Thanks for playing.

think the strategy for forward line next year will be to wait for dpp players to come round 6 / 12 rather than starting as many keepers as most did this year (dunkley / taranto / gulden / rozee was a very popular f1-f4, with some even starting cogs and butters as well)

just last year a lot of the top line forwards such as bontempelli, himmelberg, smith and english were only available as forwards at a later point in the season, not as starting options

if theres not decent starting options down there id rather put the money into proven keepers in other lines. hopefully rookie structure allows for this

Might not be a POD if he has a clear preseason
Have to wait and see! Think a lot of people will pass over him for the fact he plays for North (Sorry!), and not a big name like others in his price range.

This part of super coach was always confused me. Price points and what RTI would you expect.

300k?
400k?
500k?
600k?
700k?

A couple of notes from the weekend. Was hoping Oliver would have a few down games to reduce his price next year but no. Gulden managing a 90 despite a tag is positive.

Oliver will end up missing 10 out of 23 games, how many games does one need to miss before getting a 10% discount?

Imagine if Oliver fit the criteria they would bend the rules again anyways tho.

Not 100% but I think it's 10 or less PLAYED for a discount. Would expect Oliver to be priced at his average.

Like when Titch missed a whole season but only got 10% the rules are fluid.

TBH it's one of the quirks of SC I don't mind as if they discount Oliver he's in every serious team and becomes irrelevant anyway. Bit like Daicos and Dunkley this season.

Grundy will be a lock if he gets traded. Lots of clubs could use him - Port, Geelong, Sydney, WC. Easy pick priced at 86.
I'm not sure we'd be after him. Otherwise we'll be in the same position Melbourne are currently in - unless we offload Ladhams.

If Grundy has aspirations to be the number 1 ruck and to try win a flag, then he has to get to Port. Any other move would be pointless imo. If he doesn't care and wants to stay in Melb, then he may as well stay at the Dees, where he could still win a flag and he'll get paid.

I'm not touching any starting pick in the $300k's unless it's super obvious. Tried being a smarty pants this year and picked some breakout players. Not worth the risk, I'll just trade them in the $400k's if necessary (and it rarely is).
This. First year I haven’t gone guns and rookies. Disaster. I’d rather pay a little more than get it wrong.

I know some see this thread as negative and too early, but as activity dwindles in the last few rounds of the season, I believe this thread is handy to have going, as it encourages users to continue to contribute.

Also, lots of things that occur in the last few rounds of the season often carry over into the next year.

Windhager and Sheldrick priced at ~60 average will be tempting if they retain FWD DPP.

Jack Steele?

Will I put myself through the pain again?

Speculative pick, but Will Day (Bont 2.0) is a gun, even as a MID only and priced at 100, I reckon he goes 110+.

Seagull Sheezel will improve.

Brayshaw, Steele and Mills are all value. Mills will probs be in 50% of teams.

Rozee and Butters are absolute jets, and both have 120+ potential, even as expensive MID only picks.

I think Darcy Cameron is value, even at 95-100 average, especially when Cox loses his spot (which I expect to happen). Will he retain FWD DPP though?

Wanganeen-Milera priced at 85-90 would be a solid D3/D4 option.

Baz Smith at a new club where he's getting a full time mid role would be a lock.

Macrae might still be value.

TDK looks good if Pittonet is playing VFL.

It might finally be time for Witherden to become a premo seagull if Hurn finally decides to hang up the boots.

Jack Crisp isn't getting CBAs, he often lines up at half back and half forward (when he's not on the wing). Doubt it'll be enough for DPP, but if it is, he's worth a look as a DEF or FWD.

Sean Darcy to Geelong was spoken about on Footy Classified last week. TDK staying at the Blues was also mentioned.

Himmelberg priced at 75-80 as the 3rd tall at either the Swans or Giants will be popular.

If Sean Darcy leaves Freo, Jackson will be in 50% of teams.

12 or 20 first page posts. Step up kyri, that leaves 8 free spots.
