The big E is as fit and enthusiastic as ever. Could play till 40How has Campbell been tracking.... not that we'll need him, but i'd be nervous as hell if he was injured.

If comparing our first 7 games this season with 23 which would you preferYou do realise in the first 7 rounds last year we played 5 finalists from either the previous season or the 2023 season. With the biggest injury list in the AFL.

Not sure about the incredibly easy early draw.

If we go into the season with the current available players I prefer this seasonIf comparing our first 7 games this season with 23 which would you prefer
Never met him but he comes across as a ripping guy who gives his all week after week knowing that he is most likely not going to be in the OnesThe big E is as fit and enthusiastic as ever. Could play till 40
Needs more exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!One word comes to mind.....awesome !!!!!!!
Aside from a minor foot issue prior to Xmas.....he's been in great nick.
That pesky Covid did get him a few weeks back.
Training extremely well.
Obviously,he is one player that we just cannot afford to lose during the season.

I don't care who we play. I just want a healthy list to start the season. Last year's start was diabolical. That's a significant part of the reason why our start to the season wasn't as cushy as you suggest. If comparing our first 7 games this season with 23 which would you prefer
Actually this is very interesting & not sure how it came about, but Veer Right has gone completely Left FieldOwens - Kouta
Pou - Dangerfield
Nas - Darren Jarman
Sinclair - Kevin Murray
King - Paul Salmon
Wilson - Pendlebury
Collard - Charlie Cameron
Garcia - De Goey
Hotton - Montagna
Keeler - Liam Jones
Hastie - Jack Steven
Shoenmakers - Steven May
Watto is the undisputed king of exclamation marks, not too shabby on his use of full stops either!!Needs more exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why are you doing Keeler dirty like thatOwens - Kouta

The goal is to be able to achieve sustained contention at the top end of the ladder which overlaps Tasmania’s entry. As per the discussion , he will not "play the kids at all costs".
Why do you think we won't make finals? Who is going past us? Why?
Every year the youth gets more exposure, our best players are getting older. My comment had nothing to do with the quality of other sides but the understanding that if the club fulfils its goal of pumping more games into youth - a successful season could very well translate into the exact same outcome as last year.
With a lot more youth getting exposure and setting ourselves up for better success in the future.
As it stands I think what we have is unlikely to win us a flag - unless we have 3-4 superstars announce themselves this year.
The core isn’t Sinclair Marshall Steele Membrey crouch etc.Every year the youth gets more exposure, our best players are getting older.
In 3 years time Ross, Webster, Hill, Wood, Crouch, Membrey, Sinclair, Jones, Marshall, Steele, Wilkie and Howard are all 31 or above.
ATM the list is capable of a Top 4 finish and that should be the aim.
Aside from King, I don't think we need to find that many "superstars" to be in genuine contention.
If King does become the player we think he's capable of becoming, then having 2 or 3 of the other youngsters become serious AFL players would be enough to put us right in the hunt over the next two years.
So the likes of Clark, Owens, Windhager, Phillipou, NWM, Sharman, Dow and Henry are the ones to be watching closely.
Do they chug along now looking to the future or do they make the step up.
GunBattle was one of the best in yesterday’s match sim…has not missed a session and is looking strong and in complete control of his game.
Our midfield has been our problem , Steele and Crouch do the job but they need something more and Seb has had his day - for us to make the next step Owens , Windhager and Phillipou need to produce , of course Seb , Dow and co hopefully will give support when needed.

Except for Schoonermonster…There is no chugging along now
The context was you disagreeing about my statement re an easy draw in 2023 so if we are debating that point on its own, I think it's universally accepted last years draw was more favourable than this years especially the early parts of each season.I don't care who we play. I just want a healthy list to start the season. Last year's start was diabolical. That's a significant part of the reason why our start to the season wasn't as cushy as you suggest.
