This will get me through to Thursday I think. I might be the only one staying clear of Jackson - just need to back myself in.

I'd love to get Naismith in, but with only $5k left, it's not currently possible without making further changes.

Not completely sold on the Fish right now, but due to lack of better options...

Barring any last minute selection nonsense, happy to run with this as my starting side. Well balanced bye wise (no more than two missing per round) and can cover the outs easily and get a full 22 each week. as the rookies are plentiful with good JS.

Ash, Clark and Telly my super PODs,

My one renaming question is my FWD line (it's a disaster for everyone), could be TOO thin ... may be that I need to get a big dog at F1 (Flanders, Jacko etc), can drop Telly down to do so.

Otherwise I'm pretty happy with the rest of the side... Have four reliable C/VC options available (Naicos, Butters, Bont, Dawson)

Good side, no need to change.
Unpopular opinion and I currently have him, but I can see Hustwaite being an average pick who doesn't justify the starting price.
Would go Livingstone over Maley, I think, had a better fixture for what you will be using him for.
S Campbell a good shout, was handy.

Reckon I have had 1,000 attempts at this..

I had Himmelberg but swapped to Williams, may be tempted to swap back.

Heeney could also turn in McRae, I think I have the cash to do that.

Phillipou is probably doozy though.

I look forward to being told on tiktok that I'll be in the bottom 1% of players.

Don't bring in Macrae. Doubtful to play round 1. Very different looking team to a lot being posted. Not necessarily a bad thing. Need to fix up your bench once teams are named though. I see 4 bench players there who probably won't get picked round 1. Don't need a loophole at this stage of the season.

The Bench piece is somewhat deliberate trying to maximize one field players, but could easily backfire.

Love a team that's not afraid to start a few PODs. Hope the Kelly, Clark and Ash picks work out for you.

You will fall behind very quickly if you don't have bench players generating cash. Straight away you could replace Caddy and Reville with Wilson and Clark without changing anything on field. Must have playing rookies if you are going to succeed.

Thanks!

I feel I went too POD heavy last season so cut them down a bit, but picked the ones with solid evidence behind them.

Clark has scored pretty well once Young moved to the middle, GWS HB look solid and settled and Telly is gonna carry that WC midfield

You're better off having Livingstone as the non playing ruck.

West Coast play more late games in the round than North does for the loophole.

I wish we could go back to the days of 20 trades.

The game would become far more strategic.
Definitely and less time consuming for players.

It was nice to lock in everything prior to the first game on Friday night.

If you get a late out, bad luck - that’s what the Emergencies are there for and it’s fair on everyone

So it seems that after the games on the weekend, most people seem to be falling for the points chasing trap. Players that wouldn't have even been considered a month ago due to being sh*t trucks or burnmen plus having the extra early bye are now firmly cemented into people's teams.

The preseason strategy of avoiding R0 players has been turfed out the window as most teams seem to be carry 12 - 14 R0 players! What's more alarming is that the feedback seems to suggest this is now acceptable.

I'm sticking to my guns. No Heeney types that would have almost made you physically ill if you saw them in your team a month ago.

Max 8 R0 players (mostly rookies or cash gen types)

Disagree on the lock out. Suits the casuals more that way.

Also anyone busy on (with say a job) on Thursday or Friday nights effectively can't play with one lock out.
