He was under 620k for a total of 3 weeks last season.
Round 3, 4 & 5.
After that he never dropped under 650k for the remainder of the year.

He could have a stinker and tank his price, but people taking the generic straight bat response to a journo in preseason as justification is wild.

It's also a matter of timing. Just because he drops 620k doesn't mean you will be in a position to get him. Tough to upgrade to 600k plus players early in the season without trading another premo.

This is exactly the point I was going to make. If you think you need to have him in your team at some stage then why not start him and not have to worry about waiting for a price drop lining up perfectly with the ability to bring him in

The other side to it is that he has missed most of the preseason, so his average may drop. I currently have him but could easily start without him and go someone like Trac. Big PS watch for me.

Preseason watch absolutely, but he'd need to go pretty badly to drop out of "must have" status for me. YMMV

Fyfe at 24% ownership and Adams at 14%

Fyfe is cooked, he is far too slow. If his name wasn't Fyfe he'd have been delisted/playing 2s. Just stalling Erasmus and Johnsons development because they signed him prematurely. Best case everything aligns he averages 85. Worst case he's a correction/mid game injury. Tog won't be high, a sub risk and he's 4th midfielder at best. People bought the bullshit of best he'd felt in ages and he broke within 2-3 weeks on his return, without looking good.

Adams- in games above 40% CBAs (total avg of 51%), he averaged 85. I'd be expecting a bump to 50-65%, so really should be doing 90. Gulden, Row, Warner, Sheld, Parker should all see decent mid to so its hard to see Adams getting 70%. Given he is priced at 78, I'll pass thinking he shouldnt have the ceiling to kill non owners, plus he has a bye and dreadful soft tissue history.

Problem is you still have to find 8 forwards worth picking 😅

I'm coming back around to starting Bont. I feel like I'd only really regret starting him if he drops to 100k+ below starting price early in upgrade season, and I think I'm willing to bet on that not happening. I like him as a C option a fair bit more than all the other non-round 0 players

Just imagine if Sweet was No1 Ruck for Port what we could do with our starting teams:think:
Don't look at the Forward line:moustache: It's all about Defence:hearteyes:

Knocked this up in about 10 mins with thanks to SC PLUS own% column

Happy with the structure until some more rookies/mid pricers present themselves. Haven’t had a look at byes.

Dow, Heeney, Yeo and Fyfe the only players I won't consider as they are kents
At the end of last season this is something I said I was going to do this year. Just go with the highest %'s.

Just can't bring myself to do it though.

But, so many of us will have similar selections anyway for most of our team....might as well pick my own here and there to round out my squad.

Will definitely filter in 1 or 2 POD’s before round 1 (0)

It’s the only way to get ahead. Also a great way to fall behind.

This is where I am at and probably where I'll stay

$287,500 for that F3 spot, which is effectively from Lynch down. Fyfe, Harmes, Jordan, Billings, Comben all of interest.

Think I have what looks like most of the rookies. If I need additional funds, Stewart or Walsh > Sheezel might be the play, but pretty happy with where I sit.

Not too worried about early byes, with no more than two premiums or midpricers across each game.

Big watch on Guthrie.
