I know walshy had a shocker kicking inside 50 but game high tackles possessions and contested possessions.

Even a bad Walsh game is Brownlow votes
Not only tonight, last few weeks his decision making and disposal when he could have hit up a better forward option has been crap…

I obvs don't post much these days, drop in and out fairly irregularly...

Geez Louise...the mood around here has changed from the last time I paid attention...

Some of you lot are up and down like a honeymooner's doona.

Go Blues!

Selection will start to get interesting especially with how well our roles players are going

Cerra, Martin, Cottrell, Motlop in coming weeks
Wow

Impossible to hold Cerra & Martin back.

What about Pitto? Used to chop out TDK?

Ollie has been better but might go for Cotters

Fantasia probably outsky for Motlop.

Carrol for Cez.

Very tough calls ahead!

Wrapped for Elijah has class in spades thought when the early heat was on he was first in
And the one thing I notice about him ( not good or bad), he doesn’t respond to emotion. Something bad, he gets on with it.

An amazing goal he calmly high fives and gets on with it.

I really think we’ve found a real professional in the lad, and more importantly I think he has a massive upside.

This is a trait that separates the good from the elite.

That’s a pretty hefty half full glass you’re carrying.
What’s it look like through those rose-coloured glasses?

His biggest contribution is a couple of tackles and some pressuring of the ball carrier.
His job is to kick goals. He had 10 possessions, 0 Goals, 2 tackles, and 2 inside 50s against his old club at a ground he knows well.
This is in a side on the rise. If he couldn’t find anything extra tonight, he’s not going to again. He’s cooked. Time to reward some young guns.
His job is to make space for our other forwards. And generally help them out. He does that. Maybe not enough, but he's improving. He is a smart forward.

Hope you don’t mind the intrusion.

I’m on my second wife in life, both barrack for the blues so I have watched nearly every game since watching Hamill and Whitnall smash my team live at Princess Park with the old pixelated screen after drinking beers at the Sarah Sands.

What a win and what a last quarter from the captain!

Hope you smash the Bombers next week, good luck for the rest of the year!
At least ya marry well if that’s any consolation.
Ya might just have to pick up your game.

For his second goal, I’d have loved it if one of the other commentators turned around and said “it’s a ****ing goal you moron”.

Yeah you'd think James Brayshaw could probably come up with something better to say than "what is that?".
How good was it not having to listen BT though. Honestly it was like a holiday.
He is so bad on so many levels he makes watching footy genuinely unpleasant.

still have to reward the player attacking the ball, was a couple there with no prior opportunity paid as HTB. Not gonna bag the umpires though, thought it was fairly umpired considering the parochial crowd.
Gonna disagree with ya there. We felt the force of holding the ball or incorrect disposal.
Port had 1 in a game of footy.
🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Shout out to Ollie, positioning slightly off early, but adjusted well as the game went on

2nd most tackles of all players, great work ethic
Really worked into the season in recent weeks, great game. Not often is he the bigger bodied wingman. Loved his defensive intent.

What about Cincotta’s goal and the celebration…

He said c’mon boys, how’s that!! First to congratulate him and get their arms around him were the Hollands brothers. Lot of love amongst the players.

Jeez he got some value for money with that haircut. The new cranium.

Full credit to Elijah who has been there 5 minutes but seems to have settled in straight away. No easy task when you join with a drug charge hanging over you.

Should’ve kicked that goal 30 meters out..

The Cincotta move has been inspired
He’s a disciplined player who can shut down/dampen opponents, has taken on some big names, and can play offensively when the opportunity arises.

Not sure many would have had him in the best 23 at the start of the year. Hard to leave him out of it at this moment tbh.

Walsh clearly got tackled too high by Soldo and they paid holding the ball against him. I like them tightening up the holding the ball rule but the tacklers get away with a lot. Hewett got ridden straight into the ground in the back which wasn't paid also.

The onus should be on the tackler to at least do it properly if they're going to start pinging the ball carrier.
