Thought Elijah generally showed very good composure, has been a great value pick up

He doesn’t “show” composure, he just is composed.
Have a look at the McGovern goal, it’s Elijah working his man off the ball, one touch handball.
He knows when to go fast, knows how to control tempo and wait for options, he’s quick under pressure and uses his body better than most.
Also, he got a toe to that ball that ended in a goal for them.
He’s my type of player, gets the most out of the momentum and finishes the hard work from downfield.
He’s the complete player, best pickup skills and smarts wise along with Lachie Fogarty.
Alex Cincotta, head shakes, two weeks in a row, takes the most dangerous mid, destroys their influence and hurts on the way back. Jeez I love this bloke, his good must his life be right now, his family and friends must be peaking!
Kempy, barely put a foot wrong, exceptional game boy, you’ve come of age, you’ve arrived.
TDK, close to best on, again.

Easily our best performance this year, lead most of the game, didn’t allow them to get any momentum and drove the dagger late, which is rare for us and finally at AO.

Obviously the Essendon game is massive but great interstate win against a team above us on the ladder. Loving the move of Cincotta in the middle and Williams up forward in the last few weeks. A few good players to come in soon and there is genuine fighting for spots in the side. Bring on the bombers!

It's a good point - where do you fit Cunners, Marchy, Martin, Cerra, Pitto, etc. into the team?

Fantasia comes out - who else? You can't really drop Owies given he's our 3rd leading goal kicker. Kemp / Cowan don't deserve to be dropped. Williams isn't getting moved out of the forward line. Cinocotta / Fog are undroppable.

Gonna disagree with ya there. We felt the force of holding the ball or incorrect disposal.
Port had 1 in a game of footy.

The new interpretation is great - they only applied it to Carlton though. Port were still on the old rule.

I've gotta say it...
I'm getting big Kreuz vibes from TDK's latest form.
His tap work is better, but his follow up, clearance and ground level work is sublime.
Hope there was nothing in that potential injury near the end. He seemed OK singing the song. Possibly our most important player right now.
Would love to see what this form builds to, if it can go uninterrupted.

Seems to be warming into it and playing his role more and more. The bloke pretty much hasn't played for three years. Still need a bit more from him but his improvement has been linear.

Don't really understand the the constant sniping of him on here. Was always going to take a bit to get up and running and was probably playing because others were injured for a while.

Looks as though at the very worst he has improved our depth in an area where we have struggled.

It will be the true indication of a fully fit and firing team that has neither of these boys in it.
I will back em in every week they pull on the jumper, and love them for it, but I see a huge talent adjustment when they are replace by Motlop and Martin.
I might be wrong but bugger me based on the last two weeks thinking our forward half is - Motlop. Charlie. Martin
Williams. Harry. Fog/elijah.

Full credit to Elijah who has been there 5 minutes but seems to have settled in straight away. No easy task when you join with a drug charge hanging over you.

I can only imagine his parents and family would be happy, not only because he’s playing with his brother, but also how well he seems to have settled in and enjoying himself at Carlton.

Watching on a 30 minute delay due to an inopportune work meeting at 8pm. I'm a very nervous watcher and took all manner of self control not to check the result after the Evans goal... fortunately the score review was enough to help me hold my nerve.

Nothing more calming than a clutch Acres goal to put the result beyond doubt.
