He doesn’t “show” composure, he just is composed.Thought Elijah generally showed very good composure, has been a great value pick up
Obviously the Essendon game is massive but great interstate win against a team above us on the ladder. Loving the move of Cincotta in the middle and Williams up forward in the last few weeks. A few good players to come in soon and there is genuine fighting for spots in the side. Bring on the bombers!
Competition for spots is going to be healthy.Selection will start to get interesting especially with how well our roles players are going
Cerra, Martin, Cottrell, Motlop in coming weeks
Gonna disagree with ya there. We felt the force of holding the ball or incorrect disposal.
Port had 1 in a game of footy.
It will be the true indication of a fully fit and firing team that has neither of these boys in it.Seems to be warming into it and playing his role more and more. The bloke pretty much hasn't played for three years. Still need a bit more from him but his improvement has been linear.
Don't really understand the the constant sniping of him on here. Was always going to take a bit to get up and running and was probably playing because others were injured for a while.
Looks as though at the very worst he has improved our depth in an area where we have struggled.
I can only imagine his parents and family would be happy, not only because he’s playing with his brother, but also how well he seems to have settled in and enjoying himself at Carlton.Jeez he got some value for money with that haircut. The new cranium.
Full credit to Elijah who has been there 5 minutes but seems to have settled in straight away. No easy task when you join with a drug charge hanging over you.
Cerra for Kennedy, but the others don't currently fit. Keeps pressure on for spots though. It's a good point - where do you fit Cunners, Marchy, Martin, Cerra, Pitto, etc. into the team?
Fantasia comes out - who else? You can't really drop Owies given he's our 3rd leading goal kicker. Kemp / Cowan don't deserve to be dropped. Williams isn't getting moved out of the forward line. Cinocotta / Fog are undroppable.
Boyd??Who was on Darcy Byrne-Jones? Zero impact on the game.
Watching on a 30 minute delay due to an inopportune work meeting at 8pm. I'm a very nervous watcher and took all manner of self control not to check the result after the Evans goal... fortunately the score review was enough to help me hold my nerve. Was on edge at the start of the last … went out for a quick smoke … came back to find we’d kicked 4 in 3 minutes … Great win … Go Blues !
Fantasia out for Motlop, Owies out for Martin. Cerra comes into the 22, Carroll goes out and one of Hewett / Kennedy drop back to the sub role.Cerra for Kennedy, but the others don't currently fit. Keeps pressure on for spots though.
If Owies plays bad, Cunners comes in.
If Gov or Kemp drop, Marchy can come in.
If Elijah falls, Martin is next up.
If TDK falls off a cliff, Pitto is in, but at the moment, none.
Competition for spots is going to be healthy.
Cerra for Carroll
Martin for Fantasia
They are the only two "no-brainers"
Hopefully we keep building each week and the role players keep contributing strongly.
Yeah I definitely forgot about a few players when I reeled off those names. Guess I was thinking more like for like and kinda forgot about dropping off the worst performed ones.Fantasia out for Motlop, Owies out for Martin. Cerra comes into the 22, Carroll goes out and one of Hewett / Kennedy drop back to the sub role.
Love Cottrell but not sure he's an automatic inclusion. Another option for the sub (probably prefer him to Hewett in that role).
Great competition for spots if we manage to get through unscathed to the bye.
Another reason to quit smokingWas on edge at the start of the last … went out for a quick smoke … came back to find we’d kicked 4 in 3 minutes … Great win … Go Blues !
No, absolutely not. You are referring to one of the all time classic games between two powerhouses. Whilst good, this game wasn't even close to that. One of our best interstate wins since the West Coast Eagles in 1995.
Selection will start to get interesting especially with how well our roles players are going
Cerra, Martin, Cottrell, Motlop in coming weeks
If he’d scored that soccer goal, people would be losing their shit over it.
What I really liked about hollands fog Williams up fwd is they work together and never get in the road of the marking contest but are most often hard in at the ball as it hit the ground . All three look a threat to kick one or to give a goal assist at every contest they are around when ball hits deck. Will see a game where they all score multiples in not to distant future
Liked Voss in presser say we basically had to get him in the side as he was ready to go so Williams moving fwd was perfect .. Far to good for VFLLachie Cowan is good, like really good
