We were terrible.
Killed around the contest - particularly at centre bounce - and kicking everywhere beyond half back was very poor.
The positive is that we won a game despite all of the above and some other aspects of the game trending against us.
I thought TDK stuck at it and probably shadowed Jackson on the day … but will want to review our centre bounce approach very closely. I think we could make a case for Pittonet and TDK.
Yes Kemp was better but he’s no lock down back.
O Hollands a worry. Worked hard but was towelled up by Jeremy Sharp ffs.
Loved Zac, Cripps and Charlie’s second half. Cotters was involved and important and Weiters was king down back.
Hewett consistent. Carroll was messy. Fog will get a short holiday. Elijah a rest.
Looking forward to getting Walsh back.
We have a very tough six weeks ahead.
Something wrong with CBB all year and now ground ball contests are shocking - side is stacked with fumblers atm...

Weitering TDK Cripps and Charlie carried the side and kept is in the game ( honorable mention to fogarty) Z Williams/Kennedy and Cottrell won it at the death Lazarus fashion.

Had 1 or 2 suspect moments, but I thought that was Kemp's best game for the club

His body work off the ball, holding his opponent out of a marking contest and or allowing a teammate to intercept was amazing

Yep but one major mistake which he needs to get out of his game.Seems to have brain fades in games.

Not sure why people are praising the umpires. The missed touch would have been extremely hard to pick it up. Happens a dozen times a game. Dissent is completely on Freo.

We worked ******* hard for this win.

I think we lose Fog for a week or 2 though. His eyes were on Fyfe even though I think he was looking at him to punch it as soon as it landed in his hands.
Footy gods.. eg the OOB off the Freo boot 15m out from our goal.

Don't buy this "Fremantle was dominant" narrative. We kick straight, we would've beaten then by 5 goals and the game would've been over at 3 quarter time. That is despite not performing as well in the middle.

I don’t think they were dominant. I think they did great in getting the game on their terms. Killed us in clearances, etc. They executed their plans great.

It’s nice that opposition teams now worry about OUR weapons. Freo know they cannot go toe to toe with us. So I think they “played better” than us today, and yet we won.

Great signs. Learnings whilst winning.

Just re-watched the end of the last quarter after Walters goal.

About 4 mins left, Freo have control of the ball on the wing and Boyd spoils Treacy who should have taken an easy chest mark and gets the ball forward. Charlie then kicks a point but you know the rest.

It’s these little things that win us games… Treacy takes that mark and there’s another minute off the clock and we lose.

All you want is players learning and based on tonight, Kemp played his best team game for the club, IMHO

Ill go out on a limb and say TDK is the most talented and mobile ruck we've had in many a year.
Justin Madden the best we've ever had, he was surprisingly mobile even had 2 bounces and nailed a goal against the Crows in September! His tap work was sublime better than Gawn just ask diesel and braddles. Oh and he was a regular goalkicker a bit of a deadeye.
TDK more mobile and athletically gifted but tapwork, footy IQ average. Still an almost player, drops too many marks. Gifted more than talented for mine.
He could be the next Grundy and I don't want us becoming Collingwood.... 7years 7million.

Other than jumping like a kangaroo and mobility what do you see that makes him talented/valueable?
