i also agree flanders is a must have this week. will be out of reach soon. i blew my life savings for serong and got rewarded with a sub 100 score. wouldn't want to be doing that with flanders in a few weeks.

getting neddy this week with nothing in the bank (thanks serong fomo). is no easy task.

dipping into next weeks trades here. 2 demons and a swan out for 3 suns.

So after trying a few different trade scenarios revolving around the same 4-5 players, I've settled on:

Howes > Cholesy
Gulden > Martin
Campbell > Flanders
$16.5k in the bank

Next week Red Bull.
Week after Nicky D.

Team for this week (12 Premos + Powell)...

On the topic of Fyfe from before, still considering doing Howes -> Clohesy, Fyfe -> Flanders for a couple of reasons:

• Flanders is an absolute must, even if the role is changing around. Him, Heeney and Jackson are the only three that look pretty locked into being forward keepers.
• The rest for Fyfe is coming, whether it's via subbing this week, or taking the week off vs West Coast next week. He was completely gassed at the end of the game on the weekend (though the throat knock didn't help). Don't think there's too much more cash to bleed out of him.

Would give me a pretty handy looking lineup:

Planning on holding Z Reid, and Coffield would likely become Graham next week (or I can hold him a bit longer until the DPP shifts happen).

Alternative is to hold onto Fyfe this week, and do Howes -> Clohesy and Massimo to either Young, NWM or Clark, but I don't have the same level of confidence in their top-six credentials as I do Flanders up forward.

If anyone feels strongly one way or another, please do tell.

If Fyfe is you best way to Flanders then so be it. I'm not seeing Fyfe as a priority trade out. Low BE with more cash to make and if the sub/rest comes in the next two weeks when its best 18 it's not a major issue. Also "cough cough" an outside possibility he gets through the season and becomes a top 6 forward.

you have Jackson - have you considered Grundy to Flanders. Grundy is not making cash and is surely just a placeholder for Pom/Holler

I've definitely considered it (can do it in the one trade), but I'm not sure if it should be a priority move as it slows down my overall team upgrades (rank is priority, and I'm aiming to be at full premo as soon as possible).

Have a feeling a rest might do Grundy good, and English is attending a decent chunk lower ruck contests (overall %) than he was last year, so I'm wanting to see him drop down a bit more price-wise. Similarly with Marshall and Lyon's comments re Campbell today (if you believe him, big if lol).

Toughest week for trades so far this year, so will keep mulling it over.

Many here have said Meek could be this years Briggsy. Not exactly a crazy prospect if he keeps the no 1 ruck spot long term.

However he has a really hard run of matchups in his next five

Again, this is all a big IF, gotta hope he sticks around

if he can score 80 90 in that run he's done his job for the cash gen he'll create

I'm really starting to think that Jordan > Meek might be a good play.
Swing Livingstone to F8 that way he covers Grundy in R5 & Gawn in R6 and then decide whether to keep Grundy or Meek at R2 afterwards and upgrade the other to a premo and swing Livingstone back to R3.
