Hi all - this is me after Howes > Clohesy and Jordon > Green.

Looking for some advice: a Freo player would be better for my byes (Serong, Ryan, Jackson). I think each comes cheaper later in the year and Serong's price is inflated by his Round 1 score. Is Green the play?

I'm really starting to think that Jordan > Meek might be a good play.
Swing Livingstone to F8 that way he covers Grundy in R5 & Gawn in R6 and then decide whether to keep Grundy or Meek at R2 afterwards and upgrade the other to a premo and swing Livingstone back to R3.
Was against Grundy to Meek initially but the idea of burgess (F8 currently) to Meek is very temping to cover R5/6 bye.

Alternatively was looking at someone like Jhy Clark to NWM instead but will see how the rookies go in the first few games

Is anybody worried about the impact of Parker and Mills coming back on Heeney's role and scoring? I know Mills is a fair way off, but Parker back in maybe only a week or two.

Heeney was on my never-again list, so I've missed the boat. Now I'm considering all the angles to get him in, but I'm worried that, you know, * it, it's Isaac *in Heeney, I'll get him in, Parker and Mills will come back and he'll start dropping 50s.

He is miles clear in first in the Coaches award, having gotten close to full votes from Horse nearly every week. Unless he or Sydney have a big drop off, I can't see him being moved given Horse is rating him their most valuable asset in his current role.

I’ve had a pretty shit start to the year, and haven’t been posting much or investing as much time in SC as previous years as a result.

But thought I’d see if anyone wanted to share their opinion on what they’d do with my team this week or the next few weeks. I’m happy to err on the side of saving trades as a strategy, but open to anything.

I like Rozee but no obvious easy trade to make it happen. Have considered Grundy to Gawn.

Thanks for any help!

500 people have traded IN Heeney

I’m becoming very tempted to boost and go the Grundy to Meek trade and take a warchest into next week. $193k if I do so, and with his potential cash gen could take him up to a fallen RoMa or the like in future

Did the same with Briggsy last year and I took him through to seasons end.

Teams pretty solid.

Lack of Heeney is alarming, but you’re still running 13 premos including Yeo.

On the plus side you have LJ who might be able to unlock a risky trade play if you’re willing to punt Grundy to Meek and Howes to Coleslaw a week early. If Meek shits the bed you can always plonk LJ @ R2 until a better option should arise.

Jordon to Heeney in a straight swap after his bye? I think you’ll have enough money.

LOL Coleslaw :D

Poor bloke is never gonna get called by his real name on this forum

Only trade that really makes sense this week is Howes to Closehy which enables me to begin upgrading next week. Feels a bit boring but open to suggestions if anyone has any.

Thanks,

Not worried about Parker one bit. He will sit forward and help out in the mids when the rest are getting pantsed.

Heeney won't be getting pantsed so he won't be the one making way.

Really torn this week.

Have a number of different thoughts.

Players I want are Flanders and Steele.

Only have $5.5k in the bank

Option One
Mass > Clohesy
Grundy > Meek
McKercher > Steele

Option Two

Mass > Clohesy
Grundy > Meek
Cadman > Flanders

I am more than happy to ride the Meek train as I did a similar thing with Briggs last year.

Who would you prioritise out of Steele or Flanders?

Anyone contemplating brining N.Martin back in after trading him out? Or brining him in for the first time even?

Still cheap and a good chance he's a top 6-8 premo defender? Despite looking very shaky at times, his first round score has been the only poor one.

It feels like a trap still.

Take Steele because he has a lower BE and good record against the Giants.

I had the same thoughts, at the end of the day would you rather field a Cadman/Darcy or a Sanders/mcKerch

Looking at your side you have 5 premo mids which is plenty (I have 4) and only the 1 FWD (Powell and Rankine probs are close to premos). I'd defs prioritise Flanders, and I am doing the same

Nice team

Can you make this work?
Mass to Coleslaw
Rankine out
Livingstone Fwd
Trade Meek in
Cadman to Flanders

Dollars will be tight af.

Keep Grundy to cover Gawn’s bye then reassess.

traded him out rd 2 and bringing him back in now. bulldogs give up a lot to seagulls and with that BE he seems a lot of value. good dpp option when he gets it too. see him as a top 6 def who could avg 110-115 quite easily. dont see opponents giving him much attention either cos he gets a lot of the ball but does nothing with it

Sticking to a plan and only wild move was Jordon to King but we got net points and bank. Strategy was always to bring in Heeny after his first bye, yeah might have cost few points but 1,800 rank and hoping to claw back some next two weeks. Cash leagues are priority and doing pretty well in all 5.

This week.

Grundy --> Marshall
Howes --> Clohesy

Left with 32 Trades and $11.88m value

Next week

Mass --> Graham
King --> Heen
