Fair enough, once out of 200 odd games isn’t a great return though. How many times did he shank them when he could have iced a game?
mate not sure you are responding to the right person here. I was clarifying to MarcusP2 about Danihers winning goals that he said IIRC

I am not arguing that Daniher didnt shank lots of shots. Fog is so much better kick for goal. Not sure anyone could argue differently

Difference is the Club GC , clearly don’t want him
With Port, both parties have clearly said they can resume normal arrangements
Neither is a "required player", given that both clubs are forcing them out. Their motivations are different - GC want Luko out for the list space and salary cap relief, Port want Houston out for the draft/trade collateral. At the end of the day though, both clubs are forcing the players out.

FA compensation is the stupidest thing.

The benefit of losing a FA is cap space, so you can get another FA.

This inventing picks is ****ing ridiculous. Every team that finished above St Kilda get disadvantaged because St Kilda and Hawks saw player movement. It’s nonsense.

You have clubs trading FAs for junk picks to protect their precious imaginary picks the AFL create.

Throw in the formula being secret so AFL can manipulate the **** out of it to fit their narrative.

Thank **** we finished lower than Saints.

but Wayne how many players that want to move home dont historically end up at their preferred club? I am sure there are some but I wouldnt have thought many.

Clearly there was the Stevens situations with Power/Pies/Blues 20 ish years ago but everyone lost there - except Blues
let’s see how it plays out here …. I’m backing Port’s position

Hey I agree, it’s why key forwards are massively over rated. You need to kick on average 16 goals a game to win and if your star key forward is only contributing 2 of those then I can’t see why we pay so much for them. Very different 20 years ago when you could count on 4 or 5 from your Locketts or Dunstalls.

Brisbane won the GF by 10 goals and Joe only kicked 2, don’t think it’s going to hurt them much. Now fast and accurate mid forwards like Kai Lohman, who kick goals and feed those key forwards, that is where to invest your assets in modern list management.
Think you're under estimating Daniher's ability big time to do better than most chop out rucks in the AFL. He's a bloody good ruck when needed.

North probably aren’t giving 2 directly up for Houston if they manage to convince him to come. Split 2 into 7 and 8. Send one of those and a F2 to port for Houston
... assuming they can talk Houston into going to that suckhole club. Good luck with that!

I'd live with that. As I was thinking 25 for Peatling and F2 for ANB being the mark with 42 being the hopeful one for ANB as a first offer.
Our drafting records for second rounders is pretty crap for that 20-30 range.
Worrell the standout and too early on 2023.

2018 - Hamill
2019 - Schoenberg, Worrell
2020 - Berry
2021 -
2022 -
2023 - Edwards, Ryan

I don't mind clubs getting something or the big Vic clubs get bigger.

They need to adjust the categories so you don't get such stupid compo.
End of 1st round is the starting point.

Fair enough. I don't think Houstan wants to go to North though
I wouldn’t either but just going by reports they are an option not sure how much of an option.

Edwards and Ryan were both 1st rounders

normally would work but from all accounts this years top 10 doesnt have the normal drop off after an elite initial 3-5 players. its all very even so Saints unlikely to do that deal
