Fog isnt as good as Daniher and dont think he ever will be (height, athleticism, freakishness). that said he is clearly a much better kick. and we could match the 900k if we wanted to anyway which if we are handing out 800k to CumminG then probably is on the cards anyway
I much prefer Fog to Daniher. Joes career average is stock standard 2 goals a game, very similar stats to Josh Jenkins, but has a history of missing badly when the pressure was on. Fog will only improve from here and is a beautiful kick for goal, especially under pressure. Daniher is a very useful ruck, really his only positive point of difference to Fog.

will soon hear but rumoured tier 2 compo (end of first round) which from my limited understanding is 800k ish or more..

BIG deal for this guy and has to be said is overs
Depends how it's structured.... if we have a lot of spare cap space now and can afford to front-load it so it's cheaper in a few years when our younger players are (hopefully) demanding bigger contracts, it can work out ok for us.

If Fog is averaging a "stock standard 2 goals a game" from this point in his career, we're likely dancing in the streets with joy. Only 11 key forwards who played more than 10 games managed that mark last year. Especially as everything is in Fogs game is starting to click.

Also Danniher averaged 2.1 goals/15 disposals/6.4 marks/6.9 score involvements/0.6 GA and decent ruck numbers. We'd be happy with that production with a prime Thilthorpe if he remains a chop-out-ruck.

I think the years and age alone might get him to band 2 if it's around 650-700.

Wild scenes
your thoughts on his as a player? strengths/weakness? sad to see him go?

I suppose you have had so much elite talent, inc departures, that you might become a little numb to it which I do have empathy for as Crows also lost lots of elite talent in the last decade (not under Nicks though)

Andy Ottens doesn't know what you're talking about.
Along with Riley Knights.
We have an Izak and an Isaac on our list now. Will be ****ing all sorts going on...

Doedee got band 2 from a four year deal and although I can’t find anything on his salary it surely wouldn’t be more than $700k? I know it changes yearly but surely a six year deal in the $600-700k still nets band 2?

Daniher won the semi with two clutch shots that were very difficult IIRC.

As per the article posted earlier, contract length is now a factor in the FA compensation equation. It's possible that players on lower salary, but longer contracts, can get the higher compo.
