Why only back until 2017?

Why not go the whole hog and throw in Ricky Olarenshaw too?

I am disgusted this club would spend a second rounder on a player from * who would only play a single game for us.

We should be ashamed. Who will be held to account for this disaster.
You say that in jest I assume, but how many recycled player wins have we had between Olarenshaw and Pink?
Capuano, Sinclair, Sav, Azza. There's a couple of other trades that are maybe okay. Higgo, NDS and Waite all good FAs.
The rest is a horror show I just reminded myself of - random names Hay, Gysberts, McConnell, Power.

“We don’t need draft picks, we need players!!!”

The players:

Remember the recycled players of the 90s?

Grant, Bell, Abraham, Roberts, Blakey, Laidley, Scott, Clayton, Nicholls, Armstrong, Ischenko, Pike. Not many of them superstars in their own right, but were lucky and able to slot into settled team full of stars and a simple game plan where they knew exactly what their role was.

Any ‘role player’ joining from another club in last 7 years has joined a team as settled as a blue arsed fly, pre-destining their eventual failure.

The best result here from a North supporter's perspective isn't that Port get screwed in a trade, as amusing as that would be. It's that Port have to keep a bloke for another 4 years that doesn't want to be there and the internal damage that it will cause. Don't lose sight of the optimum.

It’s pretty clear now that Port want to deal with us and want Dan with us too.
This has always been the case.
But Houston has always had us 2nd preference.

I've heard the deal fell apart because of a strange request. Apparently the whole Atkins family moved to the Gold Coast and he's asked they move with him to Adelaide.

I'm told Atkins doesn't want to leave his brother's behind.

So reading that tweet and factoring in Tom’s, Dan really wants to go to Collingwood (or Carlton) and really doesn’t want to go to North. Why bother then North? If he isn’t interested, aren’t you wasting both your recruiting teams time for other stuff?

Or it’s all wrong and he is open to North?
For me Port know our offer and if they are really interested and want to deal they have our number. Get Parker over the line and improve our draft hand if possible. Anything else to me would be a bonus.

This is a good gag. Might need to explain it for our younger punters.

cookiemon I haven’t noticed you before

Let’s keep it that way

I would really really like for us to hold such an allure of a deal in front of them that they hold out and hold out and hold out and then at the latest possible point we take the deal off the table.

Because f*** port and f*** players not choosing to come to us.
