You can only play with the cards you are dealt.

Geelong only had 17 to offer the dogs.

A pick in the 40's was all the Saints had for Macrae that was a reasonable deal for both parties.

Daniels played good footy at the end of the year for the Dogs and after pick 44 was ALWAYS going to the Swans for Parker, pick 25 is all we had to offer and we targeted him for a reason.

Wait until we finish with pick swaps and judge this off season in totality before you microwave your membership and write to the club and ask for Rawlings to be sacked.

All in all we brought in 3 players that can make a difference next season and we are in a strong position to still improve our draft hand over the next few weeks.

we had a future second and a future 3rd

there was no need to trade 25

Literally no way of pleasing some people in this group , got in 3. premiership players who have great standards.
A young forward who will get an opportunity if he wants it. All for speculative picks.
IMO , splitting 2 an/or our future 1st is a must. We need to improve NOW .

And that’s the problem that losing Pick 25 means EVERYONE knows we will trade out pick 2 which has diluted its value massively because we NEED to split it now…

For a group, think as a whole we’re pretty mild with this trade, just a light/annoying displeasure. But think it definitely could’ve been worse and we pick up some handy experienced players, particularly Parker.
Just hope to god we don’t bend over again and fork over pick 2 for something like 10 & 11.
I wouldn’t be surprised given it’s Rawlings, but pick #6 definitely needs to be included.

That was a good trade season.

Stoked to have Parker and Daniel. Easily players in our best dozen. Immediate leadership. The shit CD gets in this thread has been unwarranted. Immediately a top 3 kick for us. Guarantee he's gonna make everyone who talks him down for being short look like idiots.

Darling and Konstanty fill vital list needs.

Now we need Tauru and a good key forward in the draft. 2 gets traded easily to that end.

Go Roos.

North's F1 h

As been up for grabs the whole trade period. Apparently chasing 13...

Would've thought the F1 for pick 9 beats pick 13
The Bombres wanted points this year to match their academy player Kako's bid in the top 10 and a mid/late F1 from the Dees to trade back in with one of their F1's. We'd only offer them our F1 on its own.

I love how we have targeted each line for experience

Fwd - Darling
Mid - Parker
Back - Daniel

I think it will definitely hold us in good stead with keeping us in games a bit longer, holding leads and avoiding that total dip at the end of qtrs

I think the experience and the need to improve in 2025 was paramount. We just couldn't meander at the bottom any more and probably is a key pillar in keeping LDU.

25 is definitely overs for Daniel, but we have Hardeman, Goater, W. Dawson, George, Duursma and the Unicorn who all haven't played 15 games. Don't need more picks coming in, we need some experience.
And we need the current players on our list to start taking playing for North a little more seriously!! Here’s looking at your Zurhaar for starters! Hopefully Darling helps….
