Are they not able to train with us with view for a rookie spot?

Yeah, you could be right. Maybe there’s something about guys that nominated in SSP rules.

Alright, so say you're Rawlings, who would you recruit from Werribee?

I’d probably draft jack Henderson first and play him as a pressure forward who can also push up the ground.

Bice a close 2nd but he is less of a need now that we traded for Daniel. By the sounds of things Melbourne and Geelong are keen on him

I think they both have to be drafted. Culley and DGB could train on with us and join as a DFA. At least with these two you can go into preseason training to gauge it.
As long as you’ve nominated for draft in past years you can be taken as an SPP selection. Like Sellers last pre-season

I’d be happy to have a half a dozen or so delisted players train with us over the pre-season. Get eyes over them at training and try get them on the VFL list if it doesn’t work out at AFL.

Great work Brady Rawlings and team!

Overpay with Pick 25 on a player Beveridge clearly moved past when we could've used that pick to select a tall forward that Darling and Larkey could've mentored over the journey.

Now he'll attempt to used a future asset to further derail our 2025 Draft assets.

F@ck3n SEETHING!!

Henderson is rated highly by Barlow, he’d be the most likely option

Alright.

I'm not saying I'm wrong. I never actually denied the "nibble pies" thing. I am certain that my position is that the term was never used to the east of Alansford and it was purely a Warrnambool thing.

I have just been informed by my cousin who grew up in Alansford and later, in Warrnambool until she moved to Perth in 1984 that "nibbles" or "nibble pies" is real.

Apparently.

Apparently. Never heard of them. And I was born in Warrnambool, but don't remember eating any of them in the short space of time I lived there after I was born.

Come to think of it I never heard anything of them when I worked there for a few weeks on a couple of occasions later in life. And to add to that, I have eaten more than my fair share of pies over the journey.

However, I also lived on the eastern side of Allansford as you know, Samsquanch.

Tomlinson another I’d get to train over summer
I've mentioned elsewhere previously, and not that it matters, he's mates with Corr and LMac and is just after a steady run of games. He felt like he'd have an ok game then get dropped. Frustrated at Melbourne.

We need to see what we could get for our F1st before seeing what we can get for our pick#2 as Pick #2 is easier to move ..
There will be a pile of clubs trying to move future picks into this years draft - either now, or as live trades: this devalues our future pick. However, we are the only real option if a club is looking to trade up to a pick at the top of the draft: this gives up some bargaining power and increase the value of pick 2.
It doesn't make any sense to use our F1 before splitting pick 2.
