he probably know dogs want a second rounder and that north only want to give a 3rd so is not saying anything yet

The later it goes the more likely it will be for something stupid or we waste time that could’ve been spent on identifying and negotiating with other targets.

Offer our absolute best offer now take it or leave it. There is benefit to the dogs where they may be able to shed a wage for a player they are only using sparingly

He has family ties to North. His great Uncle was captain in the 50s, and he's had other uncles represent us at various levels. And we've made several attempts to land him. Delisted free agent, can walk to us for free.

I think at the worst we should be willing to part with the F2. I'm under the impression next year is fairly compromised again and nowhere near as deep. With even the smallest expectation of improvement this one should end up in the 30's and if we want to draft around that area it's easy enough to trade back in.
